May 29, 2025
From Ms. O's Desk
Dear Quetzal Families,
As we approach the final days of the school year, we want to thank you for your partnership and support. It has been a joy watching our students learn, grow, and thrive this year!
A few important reminders as we wrap up:
Chromebook Return for 2nd and 4th Graders
Families of 2nd and 4th grade students: Please make sure your child brings their Chromebook and charger to school next week so we can prepare the devices for summer updates and maintenance.
Summer Practice Materials
We will be sending ELA (English Language Arts) and SLA (Spanish Language Arts) workbooks home with students before the end of the year. These materials are a great way to keep your child engaged in reading and continue building literacy skills over the summer.
As a reminder, since our school follows a 50/50 Dual Immersion model, some Amplify language arts lessons are taught in English and others in Spanish. While certain units may be delivered in only one language, all grade-level skills and standards are taught fully over the course of the school year. Our goal is always to support bilingualism and biliteracy.
Last Day of School – Thursday, June 5th
The last day of school is a minimum day, and students will be dismissed at 11:55 a.m. Please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
Thank you again for a wonderful year. We are proud of all our students and grateful to our families for being such an essential part of the Mistral community. ¡Gracias!
Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week!
Claudia Olaciregui, Principal
