Dear Parents,

It has been an incredible journey working alongside you and your children the past several years as Principal of Crete Intermediate. I am excited to share that I have accepted a new position in the private sector that will provide me with greater flexibility and more time to spend with my own family. While this decision was not made lightly, I am confident it is the right step for me and my loved ones at this time.

Though my time at Crete Intermediate may be coming to an end, I am confident that the school will continue to thrive under the care and guidance of Ms. Cole. I have no doubt that your children will continue to flourish academically and socially.

Serving as the assistant principal for the past 6 years has been a rewarding journey, and I am honored to have been chosen as the next principal. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead such an amazing staff. Crete Intermediate is truly a special place, thanks to our incredible students and their families. I look forward to collaborating with you to ensure our students receive the best educational experience possible.

The 4th grade students will have an evening music concert on Tuesday, May 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Crete High School Auditorium & Gymnasium. Your student needs to check in with their teacher at the Crete High School by 6:10 p.m. There will be an adult available to help your child find the check-in rooms. Students need to wear their Pioneer Day outfit to the concert. Please make sure students wear comfortable shoes as they will be dancing. If your student borrowed clothing, they will need to return it the EVENING of the concert. Please have your students wear a t-shirt and shorts/leggings under their Pioneer clothing. After the concert, they will return their Pioneer clothing to their teacher.

Fifth-grade farewell will be held on May 14th. We will have two ceremonies to allow students to invite two guests. An invitation was sent home last week.

The morning ceremony will include students in Mrs. Strehle’s, Mr. Steele’s and Mrs. West’s homerooms.

The afternoon ceremony will include students in Mr. Zimmerman’s, Mrs. Shaw’s, Mrs. Heusinkvelt’s and Mrs. Chrastil’s homerooms.
