The Book Fair is coming Jan 31 – Feb 7! All purchases at the Book Fair give back 50% of the total sales in the form of free books to the school and teachers. Last year’s Book Fair raised $10,686 for the school!

Your student will preview the bookfair during school on Fri Jan 31 and Mon Feb 3 to create a wishlist. Students will be able to shop the Book Fair during the day at school, during Grand-persons’ Day, and at Family Night. Students can pay with cash, check, eWallet, or Apple Pay. eWallet will open up on January 8th!

The 2025 Book Fair will run Friday Jan 31 – Friday Feb 7. We will be open for family shopping during Tuesday Feb 4 Grand-persons’ day. As well as family night on Thursday Feb 6, 5pm-6:30pm, where all families are welcome in the Media Center.

Grand-Persons (any family member) are invited to join their favorite Buccaneers for lunch! You are invited to have lunch during their scheduled lunch time in the cafeteria. This can be a time to enjoy your new book from the book fair while you eat with your Buccaneer!

We kindly request that younger children not attend and limit to 2 Grand-Persons per student. Please list the names of the Grand-Persons on the registration form below. You may bring your lunch or purchase in the cafeteria. If purchasing lunch at school, please know that credit cards are not accepted and smaller bills are requested.

A form will also be sent in Tuesday folders this week if you wish to register via Paper Pencil. You may register by clicking here.

This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Prudence. Prudence means you plan for the future and achieve your goals by making careful everyday choices.

Prudence is about doing the right thing at the right time for the right reasons. It's a way of thinking ahead, setting goals, making plans, and having the discipline to follow through. It’s more about using your head than your heart.

Prudence helps with managing yourself effectively. Whether aiming for a sports record, getting good grades, or saving for something special, you need to plan ahead and stay focused. Even with a plan, you must resist temptations that might distract you. Prudence gives you the wisdom to use the right strengths at the right time to achieve your goals.

To practice and encourage the character strength of prudence at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions.
