School Attendance Matters
What is Chronic Absenteeism?
Students are considered chronically absent when they miss 10 percent or more of school for any reason. Left unaddressed, chronic absence can translate into students having difficulty learning to read by Grade 3, reaching grade-level standards in middle school, and graduating from high school.
California Education Code (EC) Section 60901(c)(1) defines it as “a pupil who is absent on 10 percent or more of the school days in the school year when the total number of days a pupil is absent is divided by the total number of days the pupil is enrolled and school was actually taught in the regular day schools of the district, exclusive of Saturdays and Sundays.”
Intradistrict Transfers are now open!
The Intradistrict Transfer window for TK - 12 grade is now open. If you are interested in your student attending another school beside Abby Reinke (or if you will be attending middle school, one that is different then your homeschool) for the 25-26 school year, please submit your request before January 31, 2025.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact : Jpalumbo@tvusd.us
Parents interested in volunteering in classrooms, field trips or Running Club, must complete volunteer paperwork and have an up-to-date TB test on record. Please make sure your paperwork has been submitted through Raptor or given to the front office. Please click here for link to the TVUSD Volunteer page.
PTA connects families, schools and communities by providing programs and services at your child’s school.
