Wrapping up March, tonight your PTA will host it’s third (of four) General Assembly meeting prior to the 2nd grade play. This meeting is important as it’s where we’ll elect our new PTA Executive Board. That new board will guide you through the next two years of PTA events, programs and parties. But wait, your current Executive Board isn’t done with this year yet! April brings our family picnic and our largest event of the year, the Spring Carnival AND we get a long weekend towards the end of the month. Check out the details below!

Upcoming PTA/Campus Events:

3rd General Assembly PTA Meeting: March 27th, 6pm (this is where our executive officers will be elected)

Family Picnic: April 7th, 5-6pm, Hayes Playground

Carnival: April 11th, 6-8pm, (BUY YOUR WRISTBANDS AND FRONT OF LINE PASSES NOW!)

No school: April 18th and 21st

Teacher Appreciation Week: May 5th-9th

Early Dismissal, Last Day of School: May 22nd

April ushers in Spring but also some of our last PTA events of this school year! April 5th we will host a Spring Family Picnic from 5-6pm on the Hayes playground. Bring a blanket and your food/drink of choice…we will provide a fun atmosphere and some light snacks and drinks.

Our largest and most popular event of the year will be held on Friday, April 11th from 6-8pm. The Hayes Spring Carnival is in the planning and organizing stages and we are so pumped about what is in store for this year. Wristband sales for the carnival are OPEN NOW! Below are signups for donations AND for volunteers. Please click the link and read the descriptions carefully. We welcome any support you can offer for this fun, community event!

Pics or it didn’t happen!!! 5Th grade parents, I cannot believe we are nearing the end of our time at Hayes!! In preparation for the 5th grade graduation AND party, we need your help! There are TWO items in particular we’d like to have emailed to us, no later than Friday, April 18th.

Details below:

First item: Digital copies of 2 photos, one photo of your child from Kindergarten AND one recent/5th grade photo of your child.

Second item: DIGITAL copies 5 photos of your child, sent along with the name of your child. Images may include first day of school, class parties, field and school events or even fun moments with friends or teachers. A slideshow of your child will be created using images you provide. Please provide your child’s name and YOUR contact information in the email as well.

These should be sent to this email address JHE2025photos@gmail.com NOT LATER THAN 4/18/25.

Saying goodbye in style, the 5th grade party will be held on the last day of school, Thursday, May 22nd from 9-11am. We’re excited to host our graduates for food, drinks, games and a dance party featuring a DJ, photobooth, sand art and giveways!
