Clyde Erwin Elementary School
Dr. Patterson's Weekly Update
Eagle Pride: Video by Dr. Patterson
June 2, 2019
Happy Sunday!
We have completed our reading and math EOG tests, and our students worked really hard! The majority of our students were at school and on time. Thank you parents for working with us to get through the two days of testing with very few makeups. Reading EOG scores will be released to students and parents as soon as they are verified by the state and we are given permission to release scores. Due to the math test being revised, we have been informed that we will not receive scores until August.
End-of-Year Closeout
As we are beginning the last week of school, it is important that all school property be returned and all fees be paid prior to June 6. Library books were due by May 31, so if your student has a library book, please send it in on Monday morning. Laptops and chargers were collected from third and fourth grade students after testing. Laptops will be collected from fifth grade students after the science test on Monday. You should receive a fee letter from your child's teacher if you still owe fees, books, or laptop chargers. If you have questions about fees owed, please message your child's teacher on DoJo or through email.
End-of-Grade Testing Grade 5 IMPORTANT
We have one more End-of-Grade test in grade 5 for science. It is imperative that students be at school on time on Monday. We will begin testing promptly after the 8:00am tardy bell. Students must be on time so they can participate in testing with their classes. Students who arrive late will make up tests at a later time because we are unable to interrupt a testing session once it begins. Students in grade 5 will be provided free breakfast on Monday. Breakfast is a chicken biscuit.
