Dear Crosbyton Elementary Parent/Guardians,
Your child will be taking our state standardized tests over the next few weeks. By working together, we can make your child’s test experience positive and successful. Here are some suggestions that you can do to help your child succeed:
- Make sure your child gets a good night’s rest.
- Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home or in the cafeteria at school.
- Make sure your child arrives at school on time. Just a reminder that the cafeteria is open at 7:30 and classes start promptly at 8:00 am.
- Encourage your child to do their best and let them know how proud of them you are
- Leave all devices at home (any brought to school will not be permitted in testing rooms and will be turned in prior to testing)
- Snacks will be provided, please DO NOT send additional snacks for testing, they will not be permitted in testing rooms
- Lunch on testing days will be closed to visitors. Students will be eating in their testing rooms!

- 4/8/25 Sidewalk decorating
- 4/9/25 Reading STAAR test 3rd and 5th grade
- 4/10/25 Reading STAAR test 4th grade
- 4/14/25 Science Test Letters due
- 4/16/25 Science STAAR test 5th grade
- 4/21/25 Math Test Letters due
- 4/23/25 Math STAAR test 3rd and 5th Grade
- 4/24/25 Math STAAR test 4th grade
Parent Letters
We would love for you to be a part of this event. Without your child knowing, please write your stellar student an encouraging letter for each test they will be taking. The letter will be placed on their desk along with encouraging notes from other students in the building.
This is very encouraging for the students as they embark on a day of testing. We cannot wait to see the smiles on their faces as they read your writing. Please return your letters for their 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Reading Assessments by Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, for 5th Grade Science Assessments by Monday, April 14th, 2025, and for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Math Assessments by Monday April 21st, 2025.
