Dear VUSD Families,
We hope you are having a wonderful month of October and are excited about all the school activities happening throughout the district.
Here is our latest monthly newsletter featuring several events and workshops taking place at VUSD and with the North Coastal Consortium of Special Education (NCCSE) in San Marcos. I encourage all of you to sign up for the training opportunities to enhance your knowledge and support your child's academic journey.

Special Education Transportation
If your child qualifies for transportation during the school year per their IEP, and you require transportation please make sure you have turned in a new transportation form for the 2024-25 school year and return the form to the special education department.
Just a reminder that not all students qualify for transportation during the school year.
If you recently submitted a transportation form please allow 5-10 business days for the student to be routed.
Bus routes will be confirmed the day before the student is ready to be routed by the transportation department.
If you need to update your recently submitted transportation form, please contact the Special Education Department at (760) 726-2170, extension 92914 or email specialeducationdept@vistausd.org
