INAUGURAL 5TH GRADE MATH TOURNAMENT

This year our 5th grade students have been challenged to take an extra challenging leap in mathematics. As our first ever 5th grade math team, these students have been working with Mrs. Sellers to increase their math quiz skills.


On Wednesday, April 12th the team competed in their first math tournament. The tournament consisted of two parts. Part one, students participated in a math exam. Part two, individual students competed in four rounds of ciphering (quiz questions).


When the scores were tallied, our team came in 3rd place. Individually, Emmalyn Wilkins and Kira Jeffrey scored in the top ten competitors.

CHRISTIAN HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTIONS

Congratulations to the students who were inducted into the American Christian Honor Society this week!


To be eligible, the students must have outstanding academic achievement as well as display superior characteristics in service, leadership, and character.

SERVICE ABOVE SELF AWARD WINNER

Each year the Cullman Rotary Club invites high schools to nominate a graduating senior who exemplifies their motto, "Service Above Self."


This year's CCS senior nominee was an easy choice. If you know Miss Emily Barnett, you know that she was the perfect pick for this award. Emily is a student leader who always takes care of the students around her. If you visit school, you will likely see her playing with the littles or taking care of preschoolers. Her upper school teammates can testify to her kindness and care for them in athletics. She is constantly cheering on and helping her team.


Congratulations, Emily! We are so proud of you.

PTF BEAUTIFICATION DAY

Rain, rain go away!

The rain may have delayed the start of some landscaping projects, but it didn't stop these parent volunteers from working hard in some much-needed areas on campus.


Volunteers cleaned and organized in the Lions' Den and planted flowers in the front of the school.

STUDENT LED CHAPEL SERVICES

This week students really stepped up and out to lead in chapel services!


It's really hard to speak or sing in front of your peers. We are incredibly proud to see students conquer their fears by listening to the Lord and being obedient to serve. It is so exciting to see them being bold about their faith.


During the 4th-6th grade chapel, Miss Avery Stubbs led by speaking. During the upper school chapel, choir students led the worship songs.

PRAYING PARENT TUESDAYS

We believe in the power of prayer!

Each Tuesday morning parents, grandparents, family members and friends are invited to join together in prayer.

As students dismiss to class for the day, parents will gather together to pray for our students, faculty, and staff.

Registration for the annual CCS Golf Classic is now available!

This week the city police used our facilities to practice. This training exercise is a great example of how our local officers work hard to protect our children.

Class of 2022 graduate, Mr. Bryson Driver visited campus in a different role. On Tuesday Bryson brought the message at upper school chapel and did a great job!

Building Friendships

One of the fun things about school is building friendships. Students at CCS learn more than reading, writing, and arithmetic. They learn how to work in a community and how to get along with others.

Cinderella Musical

Our elementary musical, Cinderella: If the Shoe Fits, will take place on Friday, April 28th at 6:30 PM.


The show will feature students in grades 1-6.


Admission is $3. (CCS students get in free.)

New Bible Reading Plan

As an encouragement to continue daily bible reading and study, students in upper school (grades 7-12) will begin a new reading plan on Monday. This 6-day plan will challenge students to think about their future plans and God's plan for their life.


Daily readings are posted in grade level Google classrooms.
