Every Day Counts!
As we begin the second half of the school year, let’s work together to make January through May a time of learning, growth, and success for our students. Daily attendance is key to academic achievement and helps build strong habits for the future.
Here are some tips to support good attendance:
- Establish a Routine: Set a consistent bedtime and morning routine to ensure your child gets plenty of rest and is ready to learn each day.
- Plan Ahead: Schedule appointments and family trips outside of school hours whenever possible.
- Communicate: If your child is feeling unwell or facing challenges, let us know so we can provide support.
Every day your child is in school is an opportunity to learn and grow. Let’s finish the school year strong by making attendance a priority!

Change of School Assignment (COSA) Deadline January 15
The COSA application window is now open and accepting transfer requests. Last spring, the school board revised Policy JBDC, unifying the process and timeline for all transfer-related programs. These include what was known as hardship transfers, open enrollment, transfers for FCS employees’ children, Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program transfers, and requests to schools offering IB or magnet programs. The deadline is Jan. 15. Learn more.
