News from Brookwood
Brookwood Elementary was thrilled to celebrate receiving the 2024 National Blue Ribbon School award last week! To commemorate this achievement, Brookwood staff hosted a special morning pep rally arrival on Thursday morning.
The event featured a lively performance by the cheerleaders and drum line from Brookwood High School, who energized our students as they arrived at school. Every student received a blue pompom as they entered the building. Following the pep rally, a celebratory parade marched through the school hallways, spreading joy and excitement throughout the campus.
The National Blue Ribbon School award is proof of the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and parents. We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to academic excellence and a positive learning environment.
Our Kindergarten students recently had a successful Market Day! After learning about the concept of goods and services and the importance of making informed choices, they applied their knowledge in a hands-on experience. Each student was given 5 play dollars to spend at various "shops," including a bowling alley, movie theater, toy store, and juice shop. This activity provided a fun and engaging way for our young learners to understand economic concepts.
1st Quarter Progress Reports
Be sure to check your email on October 9th! 1st - 5th grade teachers will email the first quarter progress reports by 4:00 pm. You can also keep up with your student's progress online through ParentVue.
Kindergarten teachers will discuss student's progress reports during the Parent/Teacher conference.
