🌷 April 2025 🌷
April showers bring May flowers!
Let's just hope it's not during morning drop off or afternoon dismissal! :-)
If you recall, I mentioned in the beginning of the year that you would be surprised at how quickly the year would pass. We are in the home stretch, as they say, of the end of this 24-25 school year. Wow!
However, there is still plenty to look forward to. Our PTA continues to work tirelessly, planning events for our students to enjoy. Our parents are amazing! Thank you for always stepping in to help, volunteer, and support us!
With the change in the weather, we are making every effort to benefit from being outside. We say almost everyday to the students, "Our weather may have changed but our rules remain the same." Spring weather and fresh air brings about a lor of new found energy. Please join us in the conversation with the students regarding our building expectations: Be Kind, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.
Respecting everyone personal space is a very prominent conversation that we have been having within the building in regards to the bus, the cafeteria, the classroom, and the playground / field.
During the month of April, we celebrate the Week of the Young Child. We hope to see everyone at our Mill Pond Art Show on April 9th!
This time of year also brings about thoughts of what is to come. Please understand, teacher requests can not be honored. There are many variables that are considered when creating student placements. We appreciate your understanding and support.
Let's hope for less rain and more sun so the flowers are plentiful!
Go Lions!

😀 Health Office News 😀
Just a reminder ~ Please check with your child's teacher before sending in any food items for special events. We appreciate your generousity! We want all our students to be able to enjoy safely. We need to be sure all food items are compliant. Items should be store bought with the ingredients clearly labeled. Individualy wrapped options are preferred.
We are still experiencing a influx of flu and rsv illnesses. Students sent home with a fever cannot return to school until they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications (Tylenol or Motrin). That includes symptoms of vomitting and diarrhea.
If you have recently been to the pediatrician and have records to update, please send in documention or call the health office.

Morning Drop Off
For those parents dropping their children off in the morning, please do not enter the drop off zone before 8:45. We still have staff arriving at this time and it makes it difficult to manuever around the parking.
We try very hard to start the day off in a positive manner. If the tablet, ipad, phone presents as difficult to seperate from; we ask that you start that process before staff arrives at the car door.
The drop off zone is very busy as we have almost 90 students being dropped off. Safety is our number one concern. Please watch for all pedestrians on the sidewalk. Thank you!
