Principals Corner
This year continues to speed by and there are some very important dates coming up throughout the month of March.
We will be having student led conferences the week of March 13th - 16th. This is a time where 8th graders will share their high school and beyond plans with their families. 7th graders will take a career inventory, and 6th graders will share their all about me projects! As a reminder, Thursday the 16th will be an early release day and Friday the 17th will be no school.
We will also be having an activity night on March 10th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.. This activity night will be hosted by our WEB leaders and I am sure it will be a fun event! As a reminder, only students who attend Chelan Middle School or who live in the LCSD boundaries and either attend Roots or are homeschooled will be allowed into the activity night. I also want to remind students that once students leave the activity night, we will not allow re-entry!
Sincerely, Brian Wood

Learning Corner
LEARNING CORNER
To, All CMS Parents 3/7/23
Hi, This is Kaden Wolff and Larissa Duran
In this article we will be telling you about what you can do to help your kids learn at home. Follow our newsletter to get great ideas for projects, activities and games to help your child learn outside of school.
As we all know, reading is a VERY important skill in life. In this article. We will be giving your kid an activity to do outside of school in order to enhance their reading skills. The activity that we are going to be writing about in this newsletter is reading out-loud. Reading out-loud may seem like it isn’t very important but it can have many benefits, one such benefit is that it can increase your kids vocabulary and even help them pronounce words that they haven't been pronouncing correctly before. Reading your child can even read out-loud to you while you're cooking! Another thing about reading out-loud is that you don’t even have to dedicate that much time to reading out-loud, you can spend about 5 minutes a day reading out-loud and still have your child benefit from reading .out-loud.
That's it for today, have a good rest of your day!
