In Loving Memory- DJ Griffin
With heavy hearts, we share the loss of our former student, DJ Griffin. Our thoughts, prayers, and support are with their family and friends during this time. Once a Bullpup, always a Bullpup.
Bell Schedule & Car Rider Line Information
The daily bell schedule for East Albemarle Elementary has changed for the 2024-2025 school year. Students enter the building at 6:55 am and the tardy bell rings to denote the start of the instructional day at 7:25 am. Students are dismissed at 2:10 pm each day.
AM Car Rider Line: 6:55 am - 7:25 am
PM Car Rider Line: 2:10 pm - 2:30 pm
If you are planning for your child to be an afternoon car rider during the 2024-2025 school year, we ask that you complete the following form to request a personalized car tag. Each family will receive TWO copies of the car tag(s) requested. Car name tags can be requested at any time during the year using this form and will be sent home within two school days of the request being placed.
East Albemarle Car Rider Name Tag Request Form 2024-2025
We ask that families adhere to the open/close times for the car rider line, and not bring students to the front office at other times. The front parking lot is reserved for school bus traffic while the car rider line is open.
Parents and guardians who use the car rider line must stay in their vehicle at all times; do not park and exit the vehicle as this poses a safety concern and slows the line for others. Pull to the sidewalk and wait for a staff member to assist your child, we will help them safely exit the vehicle.
The line will speed up as everyone conforms to our procedures. Thank you in advance for your patience.
Free Breakfast and Lunch for All Students
East Albemarle, and all Stanly County Schools, benefit from the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a non-pricing meal service option which allows us to serve breakfast and lunch to students at no cost to families.
Encourage your child to take advantage of this provision and eat at school. Students who bring a lunchbox are also allowed to pick up a lunch tray to supplement their lunch from home.

Help us grow!
If you are a parent or guardian interested in actively contributing to our school improvement efforts, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to Judith Taylor at judith.taylor@stanlycountyschools.org for more information on how you can participate in upcoming committee conversations. Your input is invaluable as we work together to enhance our school's environment and success. The next committee meetings will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 2:30 pm in the East Albemarle media center.
Do you Dojo?
We encourage all parents to connect to their child’s teacher’s Class Dojo account! Class Dojo is a great tool for tracking your child's behavior points and staying updated on their progress in real time. It also provides a direct line of communication with the teacher, making it easy to stay informed and involved. Connecting to Class Dojo helps us work together to support your child’s success both in and out of the classroom!
If you need assistance to get connected via Class Dojo, reach out to your child's teacher by phone (704-961-3500), email, or send a note to school.
*Reminder - Each student must earn 300 Class Dojo points by December 19th and have NO suspensions (bus, ISS, OSS) to earn an invitation to the second merit event!
