Updates and Reminders

The BPG is sponsoring the Winter Wipeout campaign in January, and will celebrate with the Glow Dance on 1/31/25! This week bring in paper towels!
Encourage your child to complete the Goochland Restaurant reading program bookmark!
There is no school on Monday, January 20th in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The BPG's Winter Wipe Out Collection Continues!

Goochland Restaurant Reading Incentive Program

The Goochland Restaurant feels passionate about encouraging reading throughout our community! They are sponsoring a reading incentive program that is similar to the BOOK-IT Program many adults loved once-upon-a-time! Goochland students will receive a bookmark to track their reading. Once students have read 8 books, then they can turn the completed bookmark into the Goochland Restaurant in exchange for a free drink AND their choice of fries, onion rings, or a cookie! The best part is that students are not limited to just one bookmark! They can complete multiple bookmarks!

Dance Classes

Hello! My name is Ashlyn Mackey and I am a senior at Goochland High School. For my senior project, I am teaching dance classes for students in 3rd-5th grade. They will have an opportunity to perform in the Goochland High School Spring Dance Recital on May 14. These classes will be held after school on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30. We will start on January 23. If your child is interested, please take time to fill out the attached google form. Spots are limited so don’t wait. There is additional information in the attached document. Helpful Links & Info

Please notify the office about transportation changes via email at beseagles@glnd.k12.va.us. If you have daily transportation needs, please make sure you provide changes at the beginning of each week for the entire week. Please make sure you have all transportation changes in prior to 1:00 PM, this allows staff time to communicate all necessary changes and avoids confusion when a call is not received. We appreciate your support.

Parents who wish to chaperone a field trip or volunteer regularly in our school must submit to a background check every 2 years using the BIB portal. The process is completely electronic. If you are having problems with the system, contact Demetra Harris at dharris@glnd.k12.va.us.
