Dear Parents,
Updated grades will be posted in OTUS for parents in First - Fifth grade to view first trimester grades tomorrow. In order to view grades, parents need to create an account in OTUS. You should have received a separate email today that contains all the information you need to create an OTUS account. If you are still in need of assistance in creating an OTUS account, please reach out to the DuJardin office. Kindergarten parents will receive the progress report in an email tomorrow afternoon.
The temperatures were a bit chilly to start the week. As a reminder, students will line up outside at arrival and enjoy outdoor recess when temperatures are 10 degrees or above (windchill). Please be sure your child is dressed for the weather with a warm coat, hat, and gloves. Students are able to play in the snow if they are dressed in snow boots, snow pants, winter coat, hat, and gloves.
Tomorrow is Spirit Day! Be BOLD and wear BLACK & GOLD or DuJardin Spirit Wear. Tomorrow is also the school store during the lunch period. Click here to view items for sale at the school store.
Attendance: DuJardin is closely tracking attendance this school year in an effort to increase the number of days students are present at school. If your child(ren) has been absent for 7 or more days this school year, look for an email from the office about attendance.
Should my student stay home from school due to the common cold? Common colds are the main reason children miss school and adults miss work. Each year in the United States, there are millions of cases of the common cold. Adults average 2-3 colds per year and children have even more, according to the National Institutes of Health.
Colds are so common that if kids stayed home every time they had one, they'd never graduate.
It's all right to send them to school with a case of the sniffles as long as they follow some tips to keep from spreading their germs.
Teach your child to wash their hands frequently, and ways to sneeze to avoid other people. Either use their elbow, or a tissue to keep the impact to a minimum.
