Labor Day
Here are some ways families can celebrate Labor Day in Northwest Arkansas:
- Explore Local Trails: Northwest Arkansas is known for its scenic trails. Families can hike or bike on trails like the Razorback Greenway or visit nearby state parks such as Devil's Den or Hobbs State Park.
- Visit Crystal Bridges Museum: Spend the day exploring art and nature at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville. The museum often hosts family-friendly activities and the surrounding trails are perfect for a leisurely stroll.
- Picnic at a Park: Enjoy a family picnic at one of the many beautiful parks in the area, such as Wilson Park in Fayetteville or Lawrence Plaza in Bentonville. Bring along some outdoor games or simply relax.
- Family BBQ or Cookout: Host a BBQ or cookout at home or at a local park. Invite friends and family to celebrate the holiday with good food and company.
- Amazeum: Take the kids to the Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville for interactive exhibits and hands-on learning experiences.

Walker Student-Involved Conferences - Monday, September 16 & Tuesday, September 17, 2024
WALKER STUDENTS ARE EXCITED TO SHARE THEIR LEARNING PLANS!
It's time for Student-Involved Conferences to discuss your child's progress. Please fill out the paper sent home in your child's Friday folder with your preferred conference times. We will do our best to accommodate your requests and to schedule sibling conferences together. If evening slots don’t work for you, please let us know if daytime slots are more convenient. It is important that students attend the conference with their parents to review goals and progress.
Please return the form by September 3rd. You will receive your confirmed conference time on September 6th. Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education.

Cell phone use is prohibited in school zones by Arkansas law.
Car Lines Can Not Block Driveways or Streets
Please make sure your vehicle does not block any driveways while waiting in the Walker car line and leave space in front of the Walker driveway for buses to exit safely. Arkansas law prohibits blocking driveways except in emergencies. Thank you for helping keep traffic flow safe and efficient!

Join the Excitement! SPS Mini Wild-Dog K-6th Cross Country Races - 3 Race Days This Year!
Get ready to race your heart out in this year's thrilling Mini Wild-Dog Cross Country series! Students from K-6th grade are invited to compete in three exciting races and show off their speed and determination!
Race Details:
- Dates & Locations:
- Wednesday, 9/18/24 @ Har-Ber
- Wednesday, 10/2/24 @ Sonora Middle
- Wednesday, 10/16/24 @ George Junior High
- Start Time: First race kicks off at 4:15 PM with a rolling schedule (arrive 30 minutes before your race)
- Race Order:
- Grades 5-6: Girls and Boys - 1 mile
- Grades K-2: Girls and Boys - 0.5 mile
- Grades 3-4: Girls and Boys - 1 mile
Shine and Win! Medals will be awarded to the top 10 boys and top 10 girls in every race!
How to Join:
- One-Time Fee: $5 (Covers all 3 races)
- Make checks payable to: Har-Ber HS Cross Country (No refunds)

Supply Fee of $40.00
Springdale Public Schools (SPS) offers an optional Springdale Schools Device Protection Plan (SDPP) for students. The plan provides financial protection if a Chromebook needs to be repaired. Students can pay an enrollment fee of $20 by cash, check, or money order before October 1 or two weeks after enrollment. The payment should be made payable to Springdale Public Schools and received upon receipt of the electronic device
