The start of the school year is around the corner. I can't wait to see everyone back on campus on August 12, 2019.

In the meantime, all families should have received a letter in the mail informing them of upcoming events. We have our Fall Orientation for parents and students on August 9, 2019.

Here are the times based on grade level:

• Freshmen (9th grade) 11:00 - 12:15
• Sophomores (10th grade) 12:30 - 1:45
• Juniors (11th grade) 2:00 - 3:15
• Seniors (12th grade) 3:30 - 4: 45

If you have students in more than one grade level, you only need to attend once. If you are unable to make it to your designated time slot - please attend the session that best works for you or call Sandra Gonzalez at 408.471.4680 ext. 4002

• Black or grey school polo
• Black, grey, or khaki pants (no jeans, sweats, or leggings)
• RCLA pullover or zip-up hoodie
• College/university sweatshirts are okay

Professional Dress

Starting the 2019 - 2020 academic year RCLA will have professional dress days every Monday. As a college preparatory and leadership school, we want to make sure that students have what it takes to succeed. This means preparing them for their future. Dressing professionally allows them to become comfortable in clothes they'll wear for future job interviews or even in the workforce when they become our lawyers, doctors, politicians, etc.

What will this look like?

Boys:

• Long sleeve, button-down shirt
• Tie or bowtie
• Dress slacks/pants
• Dress shoes (no sneakers)
• Pullover sweaters, cardigans, or blazers may be worn on cold days

Girls:

• Dress shirts (nothing see-through or cropped)
• Dress pants, skirts, or dresses
• Dress shoes (no heels or open-toed shoes)
• Pullover sweaters, cardigans, or blazers may be worn on cold days.

Students are not allowed to wear blue or red.
