Please read our newsletter each week for important information:

• The Grading Period ends on Monday, October 21. Please ensure your student has all missing assignments turned in.
• The district has a survey they are requesting parents to complete. It can be found using the QR code in one of the images below as well as here.
• We are having an issue with some female students tying up their shirts and exposing their mid-section/midriff. The school dress code policy states that no midriffs can be shown. Students have been asked to correct this time and time again. Moving forward, any student seen with their midriff showing will receive discipline consequences.
• You should have received information regarding how to sign up for Rooms. This is the platform for messaging with teachers. Please reach out to your child's teachers if you do not have this information.
• Please make sure your student comes to school daily with a fully charged Chromebook. If students charge their Chromebook at home in the evenings, it will last for all of their classes at school during the day. Thank you for your help with this.
• Infinite Campus Parent Portal is now available. Using this portal you can view your students' grades and attendance. To register for the portal, you must bring photo identification to the school to receive your personal registration code, linking you to your student. Office hours are 7:30am-4:00pm each day.
• Please make note of our Uniform Policy below. School tshirts are sold daily. T-shirts are $12 and hoodies are $25.

• Our school, specific calendar, including academic and sporting events, can be found here. Consider downloading the ECPS app to easily access this calendar any time.
• All rising 7th graders must be current on their immunizations. See the flyer below for more details.

Upcoming Events:

• Monday, October 21 - Soccer/Volleyball away @ South Edgecombe
• Wednesday, October 23 - SWEHS FCA Fields of Faith Event, 7pm-8:30pm. Guest speaker Daniel Ritchie, flyer below
• Thursday, October 24 - PBIS Event for eligible students
• Saturday, November 2 - NCSU MSEN Saturday Academy 7:30am-2:30pm, bus will leave campus at 7:30am exactly. Students must be on time.

• The tardy bell rings at 8:05am. Please make sure your student is in the building by 8:05am. Students not in class by 8:05am will receive tardy documentation.
• 11:40am is the halfway point in the school day. If your student checks in after this time or checks out before this time, he/she will be counted absent for the entire day.
• All students must be in uniform daily. See the image above for uniform expectations. Students cannot tie their shirt up in the back to expose their back and/or skin. No midriffs are allowed to be seen when sitting or standing. Students will receive discipline consequences moving forward for this.
