School Wide Information
School Site Council Reps- Looking to get involved in School SIte Council? We are looking for parent and student volunteer, if interested email Dr. Roberts at rebeccaroberts@iusd.org
Mandatorial Office Hours begin Monday, September 30th- Mandatorials will start this Monday, September 30th. All students are encouraged to attend Office Hours when they have questions or need additional support. However, as an intervention, some students may be required to attend Monday Office Hours (Mandatorial) at their teachers’ request. If your student is referred for these mandatory Monday Office Hours by their teacher, you will receive email notification from both the teacher and IVA Staff. Your student must attend Mandatorial for that period each week until you receive notification that it is no longer required. Students who do not attend their required Mandatorial will be marked absent. Please partner with us in helping your student to be successful this semester.
Trunk-or-Treat and Movie Night: Click here to RSVP for our upcoming Trunk-or-Treat and Fall Movie Night! Come join us at Creekside HS for our annual Trunk-or-Treat wearing your halloween costume on Friday, October 18th from 5PM-7PM. We will be partnering with YAT (Youth Action Team) for a Halloween Movie Night featuring “A Nightmare Before Christmas.” The free movie night will begin at 6:45PM and is open to middle and high school IVA students. Please make sure to upload this signed permission slip if you plan to attend the Movie Night by Friday, October 4th.

Care Solace- IUSD has partnered with Care Solace to offer free, confidential service to connect students to mental health providers and substance abuse treatment matched to their needs-regardless of insurance. Click HERE for more info and the QR code.

IUSD College and Career Fair- All students and families are invited to attend! October 28th from 5-7pm at University High School. Click HERE for more information.
Parent and Family Engagement- The IUSD Parent and Family Engagement Team strives to support IUSD families through parent education, resources, and connections. We value our partnership with our families and hope to provide timely and relevant content as well as programming that meets the needs of our community. Click HERE for monthly workshops.
Bus Pass- The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is excited to announce the continuation of their “Youth Ride Free” promotional bus pass program. This free youth pass allows youth ages 6 to 18 to ride all OC fixed-route buses every day for free. For more information regarding the program visit: OCbus.com/YouthRideFree. To participate in the program complete a new Parent Request Form, available using the below link, printed forms are also available in the front office. Return the completed and signed form to the front office to be issued a purple/orange youth bus pass for the 2023-24 school year. Parent Request Form: OCTA.net/YouthRequest
High School Updates
Progress Grades- Parent portal is now open for parents and students to view grades. Parents will log on to their portal account at https://my.iusd.org
High School Voter Education Week- September 16-27 is high school voter education week. Students will learn about the voting process and participate in a statewide student-mock election on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 with thousands of other students around the state.

State Seal of Biliteracy- Attention Seniors! If you are interested qualifying for the State Seal of Biliteracy click HERE for more information and to fill out the interest form.
IVA Clubs: Don’t forget to submit your club application by Friday, October 11th if you are interested in starting a club. If you have any questions, feel free to join Mrs. Nguyen’s Period 4 Office Hours (10:35AM - 11:00AM) on Monday 9/30 for a club info-meeting on Zoom.
Join ASB: Currently the positions of 11th and 12th grade class president and Community Service Commissioner are open. Please email Mrs. Nguyen at briannanguyen@iusd.org if you are interested in applying to join the IVA ASB team.
