Message from Safety & Security
Upper Moreland Primary and Intermediate School Administrators and Staff have been observing multiple vehicles passing others waiting to enter campus. This creates a safety hazard as this is a NO passing Zone. Moving forward, staff will be redirecting vehicles back to wait in line to enter campus. Safety is our utmost priority and the risk of a collision is too high to permit this to continue. We ask for your continued cooperation to keep our elementary campus safe for everyone.

March Madness Reading Incentive
Dear Parents/Caregivers:
Inspiring children to become lifelong readers and learners is one of the most valuable gifts parents and teachers can give children. One way to accomplish this goal is to encourage children to make pleasure reading a regular part of their daily routine. Our Reading Incentive program is designed to do that by promoting a love of reading both at school and at home.
During the week of March 10-14, we will have a schoolwide reading incentive at UMIS! Our theme is March Madness!
All students are encourage to participate in this incentive by reading in a different way each night on their bingo board:
- Grade 3: 20 minutes each night,
- Grade 4: 25 minutes each night,
- Grade 5: 30 minutes each night at a minimum.
Please join us in this important endeavor by encouraging your children to participate in our Reading/Writing Incentive program.
Sincerely,
The Reading/Writing Incentive Committee,
Upper Moreland Intermediate School

UMIS Music Department T-Shirts
The UMIS Music Department is encouraging performers of the Honors Choir, Encore String Ensemble, Concert String Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Wind & Percussion Ensemble, and instrumental lesson students to purchase our current UM Music T-shirt. Students participating in Music Fests I and II will be asked to proudly wear this shirt over their concert attire during the day of their performance. The instrumental groups’ concert attire will be: White, collared, button down dress shirt, black pants, and dark footwear. What a great opportunity to show musical spirit and conveniently protect their white concert shirt! T-shirt purchase is not required but we are urging you to buy this “cool” looking shirt to support unity in music. This shirt acts as a fond memory of our time together and our accomplishments as united musicians. Parents/Guardians or family members of our fine musicians are welcome to order shirts as well.
