Last Day of School: Thursday, June 8, 2023, is the last day of student attendance for the 2022-2023 school year. It is a regular day of student attendance. There will be an Awards Assembly for students that starts at 2:00 pm. Report Cards will be emailed to parents at the end of the school day. Please check backpacks for MAP progress reports. Students who will not be in attendance on the last school day can contact the office to schedule a time to pick-up items during the summer.
END OF YEAR MEDICATION PICK UP: According to the school district’s procedure, parents(s)/guardian(s) are responsible for picking up any unused medication by the end of the school year; it can not be sent home with your child. The building nurse will discard unused medication not picked up by the student’s last day of school. Please plan on picking up your child’s medication as close to your student’s last day of school as possible. The Health office will be closed after June 8, 2023. Feel free to call if you have any questions. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Returning Student Registration: Returning student registration is underway. We ask that families register their child(ren) before June 1, 2023. Visit SD13.ORG for more information on returning student registration.
We are excited to announce that our new online fee payment system is now My School Bucks (MSB)
MSB is not live at the time of this notice, but invoicing for the 2023-2024 school year will take place sometime in May and payments are due in FULL by September 1, 2023. You will receive an email from MSB when the registration fee is applied to your student(s) account(s). If you think you would qualify for a fee waiver for 2023-2024 school year, complete this form and return it to the Business Office by September 1, 2023.
MSB is a user-friendly online payment system with a single sign on. You will be able to create an account, add your student(s) and see ALL of your students in that one account.
Instructions are here.
We will communicate with you when we get closer to applying the fees. Thank you and have a great summer and 2023-2024 School Year!
Lead Like a Jaguar
At DuJardin, we want students to become leaders who model a positive attitude (growth mindset), set and achieve positive goals, understand and manage emotions, show empathy for others, and make responsible decisions (solve problems). Teachers will be using the Second Step curriculum & other resources to help ensure our students #LeadLikeJaguars.
Focus for March 20 - June 2: Problem Solving: Students learn how to manage strong emotions to feel calm before solving problems, how to describe a problem and identify the wants and needs of those involved, how to think of many solutions and explore their potential outcomes, and how to pick the best solution.

Message from Nurse Rosero
Nurse Email: jrosero@sd13.org
Student Needs:
Please inform the nurse of any allergies or sensitivities to foods, medications, and environmental allergens. If there are any pertinent details of your students' health that you feel the nurse needs to know, please reach out and discuss this with the school nurse. This information can be helpful to better support your student throughout the day, if certain situations arise.
About Your Student’s Medication:
The district's medication administration policy mandates that all medication to be administered at school requires an MD order, this includes over-the-counter medications. Students may NOT keep over-the-counter meds in their backpacks or in their lockers--including cough drops, Advil, etc. This is an important safety concern! Please review the policy included in the registration process.
If your student requires an inhaler, Epi-Pen, or any oral medication, please obtain the medication form and appropriate health care plan from your physician when your child has their exam. Forms may also be obtained on the district website.
Excused Physical Education Class:
Please note that all PE excuses need to be sent to the Nurse's Office. A parent may excuse a student from PE for up to 3 days. (consecutively) Thereafter, a Doctor's note is required.
Calls home from the Nurse:
Phone calls home are warranted in the event of a head injury, minor or major
All in school sickness including fever of 100.4 (oral) or greater, vomiting and/or diarrhea
Please prepare to keep your child home until:
Fever-free for a full 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.
Vomiting and diarrhea has ceased for a full 24 hours
Please refer to the General Health Guidelines which can be found on the district website
If you chose to have your child tested for COVID while here at school a NEW consent form for this year must be filled out. Consent Form for Minor
