Wasco Families,

Thank you for taking the time to attend our recent Curriculum Night. Your presence and engagement demonstrate your commitment to your child's education and our learning community.

During the event, we shared our learning priorities for the year and how they align with our goal of building pathways to excellence together. We hope you gained valuable insights into our curriculum and teaching methods, including our use of Pawsitive reinforcements to encourage and motivate our students.

Your participation helps strengthen the connection between home and school, which is crucial in creating a positive school environment. By working together, we can ensure that each child feels supported and inspired to reach their full potential.

At Wasco, we believe that a strong learning community is built on open communication and collaboration. Your involvement in events like Curriculum Night plays a vital role in this process. Together, we are creating an environment where our students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

For Families Report

As a reminder, the code for accessing the report changes yearly and expires when school is out, so parents should download/print the reports as soon as possible after their students complete their diagnostics.

Please review the Recess/Playground Expectations with your child to help ensure safety on the playground.

This year we are partnering with PTO to support our Wasco Bi Monthly Buying Days. Wasco Bucks are awarded to individuals who demonstrate expected Wasco Behaviors across the school building. We hope that your child has come home talking about how many Wasco Bucks that they have already earned. Your child will be able to spend their earned Wasco Bucks for small treats and/or experiences. A menu of experiences has been developed across the building. We have seen such excitement for this new addition to our reinforcement system and hope that you will continue to support us in providing positive reinforcement of our Wasco Expectations.

Our lost and found is already filling up! If you are missing anything, please come by and take a look! We check labels for names and/or initials, so keep labeling those items!

In D303, we value the opportunity to provide a community of care and support to our families, especially those faced with financial hardship. If your family is currently experiencing a significant financial need, our community partnerships have several supports available for families, including school clothes/shoes, winter coats/accessories, school supplies, toiletries, holiday meals, and/or holiday gifts. If you would like to be considered for any of these supports, please complete the Family Resource Form by September 13, 2024.
