Color a Smile

This organization sends out the joyful pictures with positive messages to people that are in need of some cheering. Thanks go out to these students for their creative participation in this positive activity.
Freddy Hill Farm
On Friday, May 16th, our 8th grade PBIS rewards winners enjoyed a excursion to Freddy Hill Farm. Unfortunately, the weather shortened the trip but students and teachers made the best of the batting cages and ice cream treats.
8th Grade STEM Legacy Projects
Thanks go out to Mrs. Scholz and her 8th grade STEM students! This slideshow summarizes our 8th graders and the STEM Legacy Project! Our kids are so proud of themselves and learned valuable communication, time management, and collaboration skills during this project. Enjoy viewing their finished projects.
Trader Joe's Holiday
C lunch teachers are a very creative and imaginative bunch, and are always on the hunt for fun activities for the staff, not the least of which was a recent "create your own holiday" contest. Today we celebrated the winner of that contest with island attire and steel drum music, and it is now in the history books as "Trader Joe's Day" at South MS. Thanks go out to Mrs. Keifer and Mrs. Buzdygon for cheering up a gloomy day with Caribbean vibes, and Ms. Meneeley for making the matching t-shirts.
6th Grade Tour of UBCTS
TNT Amusements
On Thursday, May 22nd, our 6th and 7th grade PBIS rewards winners enjoyed a trip to TNT Amusements. Mother Nature couldn't put a damper on this adventure as students and teachers enjoyed an assortment of fun games.
Summer Sips
Students who were interested in staying after school in Mrs. Scholz's STEM class could sign up to make some cool "summer sips" drinkware so they could stay refreshed this summer.
Toothbrush Collection
Thanks go out to everyone at South who donated to the NJHS toothbrush drive. A total of 630 toothbrushes were brought in which included the 200 toothbrushes brought in by 7th grade this week. All donations will be sent to Kenya.

Middle Level Summer Fun Camp Website
Important Note:
Summer Fun Camp is no longer grant-funded. This year, the camp must rely entirely on paid enrollments. If minimum enrollment numbers are not met, sessions will be cancelled.
Cost:
Each session/day costs $25, plus any applicable materials fees. The cost is noted after each session description. Since the camp is entirely funded by registration fees, we are unable to offer refunds after payment is made. However, SFC staff will do their best to reassign campers to other available sessions if needed.
Confirmation:
On May 26th, an email will be sent to all registered families with a confirmation of which sessions will be held. This email will also include your camper’s SFC invoice, showing the total amount due for sessions that are able to run. The payment window is May 27 – June 1. Payment instructions will be provided in the confirmation email.
Please register early and help us spread the word—early registrations will help us determine which sessions can run based on interest!
If you have any questions, please reach out to Melissa Albright at malbright@pennridge.org
Looking forward to a summer of fun!
