6th Grade Falcons will take a three day field trip to Camp Orkila from April 16-18. Come hear all about it at the Camp Orkila Parent Meeting. Mark your calendars. This informational meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26th at 5:30 PM in the LaVenture Cafeteria. Watch for packets with the required permission slips, as your student will be receiving them in their advisory classes next week.

Reglas

• Todos los diseños deben ser enviados por un adulto (bibliotecario, especialista en medios, maestro, etc.) para ser considerados.

• Cada marcador debe representar una selección de JLG (títulos pasados, presentes o futuros)

• CUALQUIER lector puede enviar una entrada, incluso si su biblioteca no está suscrita a JLG

Ganadores del concurso

Los diseños serán juzgados por miembros del equipo JLG, ¡ya que este es uno de los favoritos del personal! – y aunque se tendrán en cuenta las habilidades artísticas, estamos más interesados ​​en lo que sus lectores tienen que decir. ¡Anima a tus lectores a dejar fluir sus ideas e interpretar el libro como les parezca significativo!

The National Library Week theme for 2025 is “ Drawn to the Library!” and we need your readers’ artistic skills to help us celebrate…

From January 1 to March 6, readers are encouraged to submit their very own JLG bookmark design!

Rules

• All designs must be submitted by an adult (librarian, media specialist, teacher, etc.) to be considered

• Each bookmark must depict a JLG Selection (past, present, or upcoming titles)

• Only one entry per reader

• ANY reader can submit an entry, even if their library is not subscribed to JLG

Contest Winners

Designs will be judged by members of the JLG Team—as this is a staff favorite! — and while artistic skill will be considered, we are more interested in what your readers have to say. Encourage your readers to let their ideas flow and interpret the book however they find it meaningful!

3 winners will be chosen from each age group: elementary, middle, and high school.

• 1st place winners from each age group will receive a $300 JLG backlist credit PLUS their design professionally printed on bookmarks for their entire school!

• 2nd place winners from each age group will receive a $200 JLG backlist credit with their framed bookmark.

• 3rd place winners from each age group will receive a $100 JLG backlist credit with their framed bookmark

Winning libraries will be contacted via email in April. Follow us on social media for updates!
