Last week, Ms. King and Ms. Musnicki brought their 5th-grade homerooms to the Hitchcock Center in Amherst for a special field trip. The visit marked the culmination of a November partnership between WMS and the Hitchcock Center. Students enjoyed a variety of activities, including a guided tour of the center, a scavenger hunt, and hands-on lessons about rainwater collection and taxidermy.

As part of our attendance initiative, we are focused on enhancing communication with families. Research consistently shows that when families are actively involved in their children’s education, students experience improved academic performance and higher grades. Engaged families also contribute to a positive school environment by reducing behavioral challenges, strengthening school-family relationships, and boosting future graduation rates. At WMS, we are dedicated to fostering greater family involvement to support student success and build a stronger, more connected school community.

This is Mrs. Orszulak's 26th year teaching Special Education at Ware Middle School. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Orszulak enjoys reading, spending quality time with their family, and caring for her three dogs.
