Greetings, Hosmer Families,

This coming week we will hold our annual Winter Concert! Between chorus and instrumental music, there are many children who will be performing. For space and safety reasons, we will not be able to have siblings in other classes join us. If you want to bring a Hosmer sibling, they should come to the concert with you and then be signed in at the office following the performance.

Please, No Idling During Pick-Up

A reminder that cars should not be idling (parked but still running) for more than five minutes. If you arrive early for pick-up, please turn off your vehicle. Watertown limits idling to 5 minutes for health and environmental reasons.

Mandatory Fall Verification

It is very important that everyone complete the Mandatory Fall Verification that has been sent individually to families from the Registrar. This is important so that we have accurate contact information and permissions in our mass communication system. Please complete this task if you have been receiving emails from the Registrar. Thank you.

New Wit & Wisdom Modules are Beginning

Across all grades, we are moving into the second module of our new literacy program, Wit & Wisdom. Here is a newsletter where you can read more about what students will be learning and doing!

A few announcements from the PTO this week!

1. Please join us for our December PTO meeting on Tuesday, December 10 6:30-7:30pm in the Learning Commons!

Agenda items include:

• PTO updates
• Update from Principal Moulton
• Volunteer Opportunity (Movie Night)
• 2024-2025 PTO Budget Overview
• Special Guests: Elizabeth Kaplan (K-8 Math & Science Coordinator) and Deborah Opar (K-8 Literacy & Social Studies Coordinator). If you want to learn more about what your child is learning and curriculum, this is a great chance to learn more and ask questions!

2. We have launched our annual Enrichment Drive fundraiser to support the work of the Hosmer School PTO - more information is available in our latest newsletter. Thank you to everyone who has been able to contribute so far!

Watertown Youth Soccer currently has registration open for Spring Travel Soccer (Grades 3-8) and In-Town Soccer (PK-4). The deadline for Travel Soccer registration is 12/31/24, though In-Town programs will be open for registration for longer. Financial aid is available. Additional information and registration links can be found at https://www.watertownyouthsoccer.org.

When your child will be absent from school, please complete this Google Form. This is reviewed daily by office staff to ensure that students are safe and accounted for.
