Building on Week 1

The first week of school was a success. Excitement from students and staff has set the tone for this to be a great year. Here are some tips to help your student on week two, and beyond:

Bring a charged iPad, daily
Review Schoology to check for weekly plans and talk about upcoming topics and assignments in class
Set a time each week to review Infinite Campus: as work is graded and scores are entered, please go through Infinite Campus to check student progress (watch this video on IC)
Encourage students to ask questions, be an engaged learner.

Student attendance

Anytime a student is absent for any reason, a parent or guardian must notify the school. Please call OR email the school attendance office.

Student drop off & pick up information

For families who will drive their student(s) to school, please review the plan for your school to make the experience easier for your family.

MORNING PROCEDURES

Students being dropped off must be dropped off at the SOUTH DOORS (Pool entrance @ HOMS and the lower level Marquee entrance @ TOMS).

Students can be dropped off as early as 6:45am. All students arriving early are to congregate in the cafeteria at their assigned building. Breakfast is available for the those who are interested.
Students are released from the cafeteria at 7:10am to enter hallways and walk to classrooms
Cars are not permitted in the bus loop
Plan your arrival time carefully, class starts at 7:20am and traffic picks up around the school after 7am

AFTERNOON PROCEDURES

Students are released at 2:06pm
Parents should pick up students at the SOUTH DOORS
Student and bus traffic may cause delays, please be patient during dismissal times
