Required Health Exams and Immunizations
Per Illinois state law and District 47 board policy 7:100, children entering preschool, kindergarten, 6th and 9th grades must have a completed physical examination and proof of vaccination on file with the school health office before the first day of school. In addition, all children NEW to Illinois public schools (regardless of grade level) must provide proof of a physical, dental and vision exam. Student Fees / Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
Student fees are due by the first day of school and may be paid online via ParentVUE or by cash or check. Free and reduced lunch applications for District 47 students for the 2024-25 school year are now available. For more information, visit the student fees section of the district website.

There are many opportunities for parents to get involved! Check your students’ school website for PTO/PTA information on how to join or contribute. Learn more about the Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC), PTO or PTA at your school, and Crystal Lake Friends of Gifted Education (CLFOGE).

Join D47 at National Night Out!
Mark your calendars! National Night Out will be held on Thursday, August 8th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. This district will be Downtown Crystal Lake on Williams Street near the Raue Center with the Crystal Lake Police Department & many more! There will be a dunk tank, games, DJ, food, prizes/giveaways, limited free helmets & fitting, K9 demonstration, Touch-a-Truck, and more!
Crystal Lake Public Library Cards Available for All D47 Students
District 47 students living outside the city of Crystal Lake boundaries can get a Student Access Card from Crystal Lake Public Library! The Student Access Card allows students to check out up to three books or audiobooks at a time and gives them access to library programs and online educational databases.
New kindergarten-8th graders starting at D47 schools for the 2024-2025 school year can apply for a Student Access Card starting Thursday, Aug. 1. Returning 6th-grade students must renew their Student Access Cards this year since they are switching schools. Renewals start on Aug. 1. as well.
Free Summer Lunch Program
The free summer lunch program is open to children 18 and under in Crystal Lake. The program will run weekdays from June 3 to August 16, 2024, at Ladd Park (556 Coventry Lane in Crystal Lake). Lunch will be served from 11:30am-12:30pm. If a family requires special assistance or accommodations, please reach out to bksparky42@gmail.com for guidance.
