I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend filled with friends and family celebrating our return to a more normal summer. It certainly feels like we are turning the corner as we start bringing back so many traditions that are cherished by our Lamoille South community. This week, I've had a great opportunity to sit down with board members, principals, parents, and community partners as I start gathering information and learning as much as possible around three big areas: What is going well? What do we need to focus on? How can I support you as the new superintendent?

So far, I've learned about countless great things happening in our district and some areas we need to target moving forward. I'm noticing every person I talk to cares deeply about all of our students having a great experience in the LSUU schools. I want to hear your thoughts, ideas, hopes, and dreams for our district moving forward. There are several options for making sure your voice is heard. Focus groups for students will start next week and parents / caregivers the week after. You can sign up for those groups HERE. I also recognize that many people are busy or just enjoying their summer after a challenging school year. You can share your thoughts in this survey HERE.

Morristown Elementary New Addition

See below: Yesterday, I had a chance to speak with Principal Torrey about the great work happening at Morristown Elementary. One celebration was the recent arrival of this new greenhouse which will help support the great farm to school program that has been launched in the district. Congrats and thank you to Food Service Director Jeff Brynn for securing the grant to make this happen.
