Kingsmen Families
Welcome back and happy New Year! Hope you had a restful and enjoyable vacation with your loved ones. This week we begin Semester 2 on Tuesday January 10th students return with periods 4, 5, and 6. Friday will be a regular 1,2,3 day with a dismissal at 3:15 p.m.
- Schedule changes were made, so it's very important that students review their locator card if they were affected. Here is how locator cards (schedules) will be distributed.
- Students will be asked to enter thru the auditorium when they arrive on Tuesday.
- In the auditorium, there will be posters. Students need to look for their name and check for their 4th period classroom where they will report. This is where their locator card will be.
- In all of the classes for Tuesday and Wednesday, students will be asked to show their new locator card. Do not lose it. It may be a good idea to take a picture of it with their iPad.
- If students lose their locator card, they will have to stop by the lobby after Period 4.
- Students access to apps and email was closed down during the break. For security reasons, the district has asked that all students convert their passwords from birthdays to special passwords. This work will be done via their English class starting on Wednesday. This is mandatory for everyone. Instructions will be provided.
- As we return, it is a good idea for all of us to complete a Covid test prior to returning, perhaps on Sunday or Monday. We are very proud of the way our Kingsmen have been self-monitoring. As a school, we had the most middle school students testing districtwide. Students are also welcome to consider using a mask during the first week of school for your safety and others. We will be providing masks for anyone interested. Masks are also helpful to prevent flu and respiratory infections.
Let's start this second semester strong! Eighth graders, promotion is around the corner and if we start strong, attendance is key, we can end strong. We got this Kingsmen, we are excited to welcome you back!
