Rising Senior and Senior Parent Information Meeting
We will hold a rising senior and parent/guardian meeting this evening (May 7) at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Cambridge Theater and will include all the information seniors and their families need about the Class of 2026, including:

- Senior activities
- Yearbook portraits and senior ads
- Parking
- Communications
- and College and Career
End of Year Information
No Pre-Approved Absences in the Last Two Weeks of School
Pursuant to board policy, there are no pre-approved absences in the last two weeks of school (May 9 – 22). Students must be in school to take final assessments as prescribed in the information below for seniors and underclassmen. Final Assessments will not be given early.
Senior Final Assessment Days*: May 12 – 13
To finalize transcripts for diplomas, seniors will take their final tests on Monday, May 12 (periods 4/5, 6, 7) and Tuesday, May 13 (periods 1, 2, 3). For seniors with an AP exam, makeup days for senior final assessments will be Wednesday, May 14. Senior final grades are due on Thursday, May 15, at noon; any recovery for final assessments will also be done on Wednesday, May 14. No senior work will be accepted after May 14.
Final Assessment Days and Half-Days for Underclassmen*
We will have an asynchronous review day for underclassmen on Monday, May 19, so all teachers and staff may attend Graduation. All underclassmen will then be on a half-day schedule on Tuesday, May 20, Wednesday, May 21, and Thursday, May 22. On Tuesday, students will take final assessments in periods 1, 2, and 3. On Wednesday, students will take final assessments in periods 4/5, 6, and 7. On Thursday, students who need recovery from their final assessments will come in to recover grades; all other students will not be required to attend on this day. Optional recovery will also be available in the afternoons of May 20 – 21 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm for those who can provide their own transportation and do not wish to come in on Thursday, May 23. More information, including the bell schedule, will be posted on our website. No work or recovery will be done after May 23rd.
*An in-person final assessment will be given to every student in every class. Teachers may give an assessment in the minor or major grading category. Reminder that minor assessments are not eligible for recovery. All makeup work, missing assignments, missing tests, or recovery should be turned in/completed by May 12.
Please remember, Cambridge does not allow pre-approved absences in the last two weeks of the semester (May 9 – 22).
Devices for Summer Classes
Students who are taking Fulton Virtual or Dual Enrollment classes over the summer will be able to receive a new school-issued device during collections on Thursday, May 15. To receive a device, the following requirements must be met:
- All devices from this school year must be returned.
- Existing device fines must be paid through OSP, https://bit.ly/cambridgeosp.
- The student’s name must be on the list from counseling to verify that they are signed up for summer classes through Fulton Virtual and/or Dual Enrollment.
Students will be able to keep the new device to use for the 2025-2026 school year. Please see Laura Morgan in the Media Center with any questions, morganl1@fultonschools.org.
Graduating Seniors: Canva and OneDrive Content Migration
Please ensure that all graduating seniors know they will lose access to their Fulton County Canva for Education accounts after graduation. To retain any Canva projects, they must transfer them to a personal Canva account before account access is removed. Summer School
Students who have previously failed a class or are in danger of not passing a class as of the 14.5-week grading period were sent a letter by US mail with summer school registration information. Please email your Cambridge counselor if you want us to enroll your student in the summer program or programs. Otherwise, please see the directions that were sent for registration. Students who do not attend summer school:
- May not get promoted to the next grade level and will be retained in the lower grade level
- Are in danger of not graduating on time
Also note:
- If a student is retained or has failed more than two (2) classes in a semester, they will not be eligible for GHSA athletics at Cambridge
- For students who have failed 9th or 10th Literature, this will be the last opportunity to make up these classes. Failure to take these classes this summer will result in needing to take the new Literature class for a fee. Even if a student fails just a term of the 9th or 10th-grade Literature class, the new literature will need to be taken for both terms, as the old version is being phased out by the State of Georgia.
Please take action as soon as possible. Summer School registration for Fulton Virtual, Face-to-Face Summer School, and Credit Recovery is ongoing for Cambridge students.
2024-2025 Yearbook Distribution
Starting on Thursday May 8th through Wednesday May 14th, yearbooks will be distributed during all lunch periods in the Media Center. See the details below for further information.
- Thursday May 8th: Senior only distribution
- Friday May 9th-Wednesday May 14th: grades 9-12 distribution
We also have a very limited quantity of extra yearbooks that are available for purchase. These limited extra copies will be sold online throughout distribution on a first come first serve basis. Dear Parent/Guardian,
We would like to inform you of a few important updates and ensure a smooth start to the upcoming school year.
Demographic Information Update - Action Required
Beginning April 15, 2025, all FCS families will be requested to verify and update their demographic information in Infinite Campus. This includes confirming or updating emergency contact details. Please note: The emergency contact must be someone other than the parent/guardian, as we must have an alternate contact in the event of an emergency. Thank you for your assistance in keeping this information accurate. It is essential for student safety and for maintaining effective communication between your family and the school.
Intent to Return for the 2025-2026 School Year
As part of the same verification process beginning on April 15, 2025, you will also be asked to indicate your intent for each of your students to return to Fulton County Schools for the 2025–2026 school year. Please take a moment to complete this section during the verification process.
Optional Student Device Protection Plan for FCS-Issued Student Devices
New legal requirements will significantly limit the use of personal devices (BYOD) in schools. As a result, Fulton County Schools will rely more heavily on district-issued devices to ensure all students have access to the technology they need for learning.
To help families prepare, we are offering an optional Student Device Protection Plan for FCS-issued student devices. This plan provides an affordable way to protect against unexpected costs due to accidental damage, loss, or theft.
Benefits of the device protection plan include:
- Protection from the cost of accidental damage
- Peace of mind in case of loss or theft
- Continued access to technology without interruption
You may sign up and pay for the Optional Student Device Protection Plan during the Online Verification process, beginning on April 15, 2025.

FCS Issued Devices and Property
Seniors
All FCS property checked out to Seniors must be returned by Tuesday, May 13, 2025, unless needed to complete AP exams or course recovery.
- Calculators, library books, and school-issued laptops must be returned to the Media Center.
- Textbooks must be returned to the teacher who assigned them.
- All fines must be paid through Online School Payments, https://bit.ly/cambridgeosp
Seniors will turn in their devices on May 13, 2025, in the Media Center during their 4th or 5th period lunch. All property not being used can be returned early.
Seniors who do not turn in their FCS-issued device or other property by May 15 will be subject to device fines and will not receive their graduation tickets until all fines have been paid or the school property is returned.
Underclassmen
All 9th – 11th grade students will come to the Media Center on Wednesday, May 15, 2025, during their ELA class to return library books, calculators, and school-issued devices. Early returns will be accepted. You can keep your device if you need it for AP testing, credit recovery, or to complete assignments in failing classes until May 21. Textbooks must be returned to the teacher who assigned them. Any school property not returned by May 21 will result in fines added to the student’s account.
***All devices must be returned this year, even if students are taking summer classes. ***
Parent Volunteers Needed
On May 15, 2025, we will be collecting school devices, calculators, and books in the Cambridge Media Center. We need parent volunteers to be able to quickly collect, scan, and pack devices. Academics
Fall and Spring Dual Enrollment Schedules
Students taking dual enrollment classes next year, please send your high school counselor a copy of your college class schedule as soon as possible. After being accepted, students must enroll in their college classes. Please follow the college’s registration process. Enrollment is not automatic, and Cambridge staff cannot enroll a student.
Failure to do this will result in you being placed in Cambridge face-to-face classes. Please take action and register as soon as possible. If you need help, please contact the college’s dual enrollment office or see your Cambridge counselor.
AP Exams: May 5 - 16
AP Exams will and continue through May 16, 2025. View the schedule below.
Locations:
- Exam locations will be posted on signs to let testers know the location of the exam on the day of the exam.
- Students in small groups will be emailed the room to report to prior to their testing day.
AP Exam Reminders:
- AP Exams are administered using FCS Laptops only. No personal laptops will be allowed. Students should bring their FCS device to school daily, ahead of their AP Exam and connect to the school network for at least a class period, daily, ahead of the AP Exam(s). Charge your device overnight ahead of your exam(s), bring your device’s power plug to your AP Exam(s), and consider bringing a portable charger that is compatible with the FCS laptop to your AP Exam(s).
- If a student does not show up for the exam, there will be a $40 no-show fee.
- If fees are not paid, graduation tickets and diplomas will be held for Seniors. For underclassmen, fees carry over to the next school year. All fees must be paid to receive graduation tickets and diplomas.
- If a student has two exams on the same day and same time, they may take one exam during the late window. This form must be completed in order to get a late exam: 2024-25 Late AP Exam Request.
- If a student misses the AP exam due to illness, a doctor's note must be turned in before a late exam will be ordered - this form will then need to be completed: 2024-25 Late AP Exam Request.
- Students must be on time on the day of their exams. Morning sign-ins will be from 7:30 to 8:00 am, and afternoon sign-ins will be from 11:30 am to 12:00 p.m. Exams will start promptly after sign-in. Students will not be allowed to test if they miss sign-in, and they will be required to pay the $40 no-show fee.
- Students should bring their own materials - pens, pencils, calculators, etc. We cannot guarantee we will have supplies available for them. This is the link to the College Board calculator policy:

- Snacks may be brought in, but will not be allowed at testing desks. Students may not leave testing early. They must stay for the entire testing period by the College Board rule.
- Small group testers will be emailed the room to report to prior to their testing day.
- Signage will be posted to let testers know where they will be testing on the day of the exam.
- Students who take an AP exam will be excused from school for the day. We will use the AP Exam sign-in sheets to change attendance. They do NOT need to bring a note to be dismissed. Students will be marked as School Activities for the day.
Transcripts
Seniors:
Final transcripts will be sent to institutions as requested by seniors and listed on their Senior Final Transcript Request Form/Senior Exit Survey. This process will be completed by June 2nd. Seniors who did not provide the Counseling Office with this information or did not provide the correct college name need to contact their counselor as soon as possible. Please note that the counselors' last day is June 2nd, and we will not be able to assist after that date.

Mandatory Senior Check Out Action Items
As part of the mandatory steps seniors need to complete to graduate, the following two action items are required:
- Complete the Senior Checkout and Final Transcript Form by May 2, 2025, and submit to Bridge West. Attach proof of college acceptance. Also, attach scholarship offers (letters/emails) if they apply. This form will let your counselor know where and how to send your final transcript and note your post-secondary plans. Download this form at the link below.
- Complete the Class of 2025 Senior Exit Survey in Naviance by logging into ClassLink and then clicking on the Naviance App. Select under "Tasks from My School", complete the Class of 2025 Senior Exit Survey.
Seniors who do not complete these action items will have their graduation tickets held until completed.

Senior Slide Show: Submissions Due May 11
The PTSA would like to honor each senior with a special slideshow during Graduation. To make this memorable, they are asking for your help! Please send 2-3 photos of your child; the photo file name must include the student's name (for example, Sarina's baby picture would be named Sarina Bivek Baby Pic.jpeg).

Graduation Name Pronunication - Audio Files
During the graduation ceremony, each graduate will present the reader with his/her name card that will be used to announce them. These will include the pronunciation of your full legal name as provided when the order for your cap & gown was placed.
You have the option of supplementing your phonetic pronunciation with an audio file. If you would like to take advantage of this, please provide your full legal name and upload an audio file via the link below. Name your audio file with your full name and Grad. ID. Note that you must be signed into the FCS network, using your FCS login, to upload a file to this form.

Tickets
Tickets for the graduation ceremony are required, and seniors will receive fourteen (14) tickets each. Families are encouraged to work within the community to obtain tickets that other families may not use if additional tickets are needed. Tickets will be distributed to seniors after the mandatory graduation rehearsal on May 16 at 4:00 pm in the Cambridge High School theater.

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal and Senior Dinner
Graduation Rehearsal is an important and mandatory informational session where instructions on where to go and what to expect at graduation are reviewed. After the meeting in the theater, graduation tickets will be distributed, and dinner will be held in the cafeteria.

Summer Opportunities
Free Summer SAT Prep Class at Innovation Academy
Summer School is offering a free SAT Prep class for 10th and 11th graders.
Sessions Dates: June 2 – June 30, 2025.
The hours for students are 7:50 am – 12:50 pm. In order for students to receive full credit for completing their courses, they must attend the full 20-day instructional period. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost for all students attending summer learning. Transportation will be provided from limited stops. The face-to-face summer learning location for your student is Innovation Academy, 125 Milton Ave, Alpharetta, GA 30009 .
