2022-2023 Final Recap

The San Marcos High School Class of 2023 held their commencement on Friday, May 26, at Texas State University's Strahan Arena. SMCISD wishes each and every graduate the very best in their post-secondary plans! Remember your roots, do not hesitate to ask for help and always advocate for yourself.

San Marcos CISD Elementary's hosted their Kinder graduation ceremonies all week long. Little Rattlers district-wide performed songs and crossed the stage to shake their respective principals' hand and celebrate all their growth academically, socially and emotionally!

San Marcos CISD is proud to present the inaugural Early College High School (ECHS) Class of 2023! This program is comprised of fifteen SMHS students who have earned their Associate's Degree and high school diploma, simultaneously. The ECHS program allows students to participate in extracurricular activities, obtain CTE certifications, take Advanced Placement courses, and even participate in clubs and organizations.

Over 100 Seniors participated in the annual Robing Ceremony. This event allows students to honor a teacher, coach or mentor of their choice and ceremonially be robed in their HS regalia. Full photo gallery available here.

SMHS Seniors traversed the halls of their old campuses on the final week of school. The seniors received cheers and applause as they paraded around the schools. Seniors were also able to speak with current students and their former teachers.

Miller Middle School celebrated the last of classes with Champs Day. The afternoon was full of fun activities with a rock wall, board games, movies, and sports.

Goodnight Middle School students took part in Diamond Day on Wednesday, May 24. The rewarding event featured an inflatable obstacle course, soccer darts and a dodgeball tournament.

The Bonham Bears are movin' on up to kindergarten! Celebrations took place between May 22-25 to honor all of our SMCISD Pre-K students' accomplishments!

Travis Texan 5th graders took part in an egg-drop project where they designed their own egg-carrying contraptions. They tested their gadgets by dropping them off staircases with many eggs surviving the fall.

Thank you to the entire School Fuel volunteer staff and Mendez Elementary for allowing the program to be housed there this school year. San Marcos CISD is grateful for your service. This community is better because of your constant compassion!
