FREE DRESS DAY GUIDELINES
Students may always opt to wear a normal uniform.
In general, free dress is attire that is appropriate for school activities and is not distracting, demeaning or degrading to self or others. All clothing and appearance should reflect the values of St Joseph's Catholic School.
Clothing should be neat, modest and appropriate.
- Tops: Neckline may not be lower than three finger-widths from the collar bone—including button placket; Shoulder straps on shirts or dresses must be at least 2" wide.
- The hemline of dresses, skirts, shorts should be no more than 3 inches from the top of the knee cap.
- Jeans/Pants (with no holes) and athletic pants must fit properly; not too tight.
- Leggings are appropriate with dress or skirt or tunic style top that covers the rear.
- All shoes, make-up, jewelry, and hairstyle policies remain the same as in the handbook.
- Short shorts, halter-tops, spaghetti straps, shirts that are too short (bare midriffs), low cut blouses, clothing that is extremely tight, and clothing with inappropriate messages are not permitted.
Please guide your child in selecting the appropriate attire for free dress. When in doubt, do not wear it. Violations, as determined by the principal or teacher, will result in the student calling a parent to bring appropriate attire, and loss of the next free dress day

Tickets On Sale & Volunteer Opportunities available!
Presale tickets available here: A physical copy of this form went home with your students, you can do either the virtual or physical form. Anyone can attend the Carnival but Presale packages allow you to get your Fall Carnival tickets ahead of time, skip the line and save money!
There was a mistake on the physical forms that went out. It says that there are 2 "dessert" tickets in the presale package but those are actually cake walk tickets. Please email mooneyk@stjoes.com if you would like to change your order in any way because of this. Sorry for the confusion!
If interested, please follow the link below to fill out an interest survey. An official sign-up will be sent out in the near future. Email Mr. Petersen (petersens@stjoes.com) with any questions.
St. Joe’s Fun Run is Friday, Oct. 11!
Fun Run Fun!
The annual St. Joe’s Fun Run presented by Parilla Grill and Bandanna Running and Walking will happen on Friday, Oct. 11. There will be snacks, music, fun, dancing, and lots of cheerleaders as the students run, jog, walk, skip or dance around the block. This year, proceeds from the Fun Run will support the Library. Each student has a goal to raise $100 to support the library, help your student fundraise by looking for the donation packet and more information to be sent home during the week of Sept. 9–13. You can find the home base for all things Fun Run here!
Showcase your Business as a Fun Run Sponsor!
As the Hydration Station sponsor and a donation of $1,000, have your name/logo listed at BOTH hydration stations during the Fun Run and be listed as a sponsor in the Braves Bulletin and on social media. And trust us, EVERY student visits the water station. You can’t have a water fight without it!
Not only will you be supporting our school, highlighting your business in front of a captive audience, BUT if you'd also like to make it in your student's name, they can earn additional raffle tickets! If you are interested in becoming a Fun Run Sponsor, contact Heather Carlson at gribbs1@gmail.com.
Join the Fun as a Volunteer!
The St. Joe’s Fun Run presented by Parilla Grill and Bandanna Running and Walking can't happen without our amazing volunteers. There are two opportunities prior to the Fun Run. One is to donate items to the raffle/food table, another is on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Boise State Alumni and Friends Center. All other volunteer opportunities will happen the day of the Fun Run, Oct. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sign up to volunteer. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080C4AADAD2AA0F94-51056841-2024#/
