Bransford Elementary Mission Statement
To create a positive learning environment for all students that integrates the Arts into Education.
* School Hours are 7:40-3:00 * Doors open at 7:20 *
Greetings from Ms. Gerdes
Last week, we had a great time celebrating literature during Read Across America. The Cat in the Hat made an appearance and our students enjoyed the dress-up days. Thank you to all the adults that helped our students wear the right thing on the right day. I remember how chaotic that was when my boys were younger. A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Brock who organized a fun week!
On Tuesday, I invite you to attend Open House. Our doors will be open from 6:30-7:30 pm (no Raptor needed since EDP will be done for the day) for you and your family to come observe all the wonderful work your child has been learning and creating at school. The Piano Lab and gym will be open as well. This is a come & go event as I know many of our families are juggling getting everyone to all the evening events. I hope to see you there!
A reminder that all items in the Lost & Found will be donated on Thursday. If you are searching for any items, please check the Lost & Found before Thursday. It will be available during Open House, as well.
This week is a four day school week. We have a Bad Weather Makeup day on Friday, 3/14. Students and staff will enjoy a holiday on Friday to kick off Spring Break!
We have a lot of fun coming up the next few weeks so pay close attention to the list of Upcoming Dates below. If you have any questions, concerns, or topics to discuss please do not hesitate to contact me at erin.gerdes@gcisd.net or 817-305-4920.
Enjoy your weekend! It is the perfect weather to stay in and read a book or play a board game.

Ms. Gerdes

Things To Do
-Join us at Open House on March 11! Come and go between 6:30-7:30 pm.
Absence Calendars
Beginning on March 10 and continuing monthly, families will receive an Absence Calendar. The purpose of these calendars is to update families on your child’s school attendance for the year. The report will include an attendance score, total number of absences, calendar of dates, and the type of absence recorded as well as a detailed absence breakdown. If your child is scoring in the red or orange, the campus has likely already been in contact regarding attendance. We will continue to reach out to discuss ways we can support your child as needed.
