October's ACP Conversation Starter Tip
What’s happening in ACP? What can you do? Please consider talking about the topics below as a family this month. Begin conversations with your student about your work experience and encourage them to talk with others. Share about your job with your student. Describe how you made that career decision, what you like or dislike about your workplace, and share if there are things you wish you would have done differently. Encourage your student to talk with other adults about how they chose their career. You can talk about the pros and cons of particular careers from your perspective and then listen to your student share their thoughts.
School Bus Expectations
We would like to remind you that bus behavior is an extension of the school day and riding on the bus is a privilege afforded to our students. Just as we expect respectful and responsible behavior in the classroom, we also expect the same standards to be upheld while traveling to and from school. It's crucial for the safety and well-being of all students that good behavior is maintained on the bus. We kindly request your support in reinforcing this message with your child, emphasizing the importance of respectful conduct during their bus rides. Together, we can ensure a positive and safe environment for all students. Thank you for your cooperation.

Did your child participate in track and field last year or do they have an interest in participating in the future? If so, they may be interested in this opportunity. Muskego High School is holding camps for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on November 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. This link has registration and coach information. If interested, it is recommended to sign up soon, as registration is capped.
Timberwolf Study Den
Timberwolf Study Den is a NEW after-school club held on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Rappis' room (Room 110, 7th grade hallway) from 3:05 to 4:00 PM. It provides a quiet, focused environment for students to complete homework, with the possibility of receiving additional help. Each session is supervised by two advisors, along with National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) volunteers, who are available to assist when they are familiar with the content.
Club Expectations:
- Come prepared with all necessary materials and remain in the classroom once you arrive.
- The primary goal is to focus on homework, not to socialize.
- Maintain a quiet voice (level 1).
- Show respect to all advisors (Mrs. Rappis, Mrs. Bremberger, Mrs. Gorr, and Ms. Butchart).
- Ensure you have arranged transportation and are picked up on time.
While sign-up is not mandatory, we highly recommend completing the form in advance. This allows us to plan staffing and potentially arrange for volunteers to assist in areas where extra support may be needed. If your child is interested, they can access the sign-up form through the daily announcements or directly via this link, though they must use their school account to submit it.
For students in NJHS looking to earn service hours, there's an opportunity to assist peers with homework. If interested, they can fill out this form using their school account, and the advisors will reach out with information on the days they are needed. This form will also be located in the daily announcements for students to access.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Nikki Kamperschroer at nicole.kamperschroer@muskegonorway.org .
