From the Principal
I hope everyone enjoyed their fall weekend! The days seem to be flying by as we enter the second full week of November. This week is guaranteed to be an exciting week as we celebrate and recognize our Veterans at our Veterans Day assembly on Monday. Then later this week we have our High School musical, Descendants. I invite you to attend both events as they are certain to be presentations worth attending!
A few items to note,
1. Please review safe driving in the parking lot with your student drivers. There has been an increase in speeding and unsafe driving in our lots.
2. Attendance is essential to learning and success. This includes being on time to school and classes. Please work with your student to ensure they know the importance of attending school and being on time.
3. Chromebooks are provided to every student as a tool for academic success. Please remind your student to charge their chromebook every day and bring it to school.
There is a lot of important information in this week's newsletter. Please make sure to scroll all the way through it.
Thank you and have a wonderful week! I hope to see you at our upcoming events!
Have a great week!
Mrs. Stewart

From The Behavioral Support Specialist
Hello and Happy November! Just wanted to send out some fall reminders as we have made our way a couple of months into the school year.
For senior families only - the Senior Skip Days are going to become a problem if our senior class “decides” they want to incorporate one a month. Please let your student know they are nearing the finish line and the last thing we will need is your senior getting themselves in trouble with attendance for having skipped numerous days this year. While Senior Skip Day has been rumored to be a “tradition” at Clinton, it is not an actual thing nor are any seniors legitimately excused for skipping on those days. Please let your student know about this.
For families that have students who drive to school and utilize our parking lot during the day. We are beginning to run parking tag checks. Please remind your student that they have to have their parking tag visible at all times while in our lot. If Clinton PD comes through and sees that your student does not have their tag displayed, your student may end up receiving a ticket - so please be cognizant of this. Also, we have had a significant increase in students speeding through the parking lot. This is a massive safety issue for all. Please remind your child to slow down when entering and exiting our parking lot - even if they are running behind. This will ensure increased safety for all. Thank you for your attention to this.
Lastly, Mrs. Stewart and I have begun, and will continue, to perform random hall sweeps. Again, this is an effort to curb students from arriving late to class. We have conducted a couple hall sweeps already, and will continue to do so. Any students caught up in hall sweeps will automatically receive a one day lunch detention - no exceptions.
Thank you for your attention to this. Go Cougars!

REMINDER ON LOANER CHROMEBOOK POLICIES
Students are allowed a loaner chromebook up to 5 times each semester in the event they forget their chromebook at home or misplaced it. Students will not be allowed to check out a loaner if their chromebook is not charged. There is a charging station in the LMC for their use at any time. If a student has a chromebook out for repair, this will not count against their 5 allowances. Loaner chromebooks need to be returned to the LMC at the end of each day or it will continue to count towards their 5 allowances. Thank you.
