Principal's Comment

Learning conferences will take place in the last week of term - Tuesday 27 June and Wednesday 28 June. Interviews will be able to be booked through our school 'Hero' app. There will be a notification on 'Hero' when the booking system is open; this will be in a few weeks time.


Learning conferences give children the opportunity to share their learning and progress with parents in their learning folders. Children and teachers have been collecting learning snapshots over the last two terms and look forward to showing their successes.


We are celebrating Matariki this year with two separate events. Our house leaders are organising fun Matariki activities for classes near the end of the term. On Wednesday 26 July we will be hosting a Matariki evening with free sausages, hot chocolate and activities. A highlight will be the first performance from our Kapa Haka group for the year.

Congratulations to this week's class certificate recipients

sport - player of the day - week 7

This term we have 100 students representing Onekawa School in sport. This term we have entered teams in hockey, netball and mini ball. Congratulations to the players below who were awarded player of the day for week 7.

Caught Being Good

Throughout the week, duty teachers look out for children doing 'good deeds' in the playground at break times. On Fridays at assembly, we award these children with a gift from the 'CBG' prize box. Pictured below is just some of the many children awarded for their good deeds this week!
