Spirit Week May 19th-May 23rd
Spirit Week is happening from May 19th through May 23rd, and we've got some fun themes for each day:

Monday: School Spirit Day
Show your DK pride! Wear green or any DK swag you have. -
Tuesday: Hat Day
Wear your favorite hat or the craziest one you can find. -
Wednesday: School Beautification Day
Take a moment to pick up some trash or do something special to make our school shine. -
Thursday: Sports Day
Wear your favorite sports jersey or apparel. -
Friday: Crazy Hair Day
Get creative and come with the wackiest hair design you can think of!

Parent Cafe May 21st and May 23rd 8:00-9:45
- Participate in small group conversation designed to strengthen, heal and transform parents, families and build community in a safe environment.
- Parents have the opportunity to share experiences, worries and wisdom. All are welcome to attend that have children ages 0-5.

No School on Monday, May 26th – Memorial Day
There will be no school on Monday, May 26th. It is Memorial Day.
Memorial Day is a day to honor and remember people who served in the military and gave their lives for our country.
We are thankful for all who have served or are serving now.
School starts again on Tuesday, May 27th. Thank you for planning ahead!
Free Basketball & Cheer Camp
- There is a free sports camp for students in grades 4 through 10. Students will learn basketball and cheerleading skills in a fun and supportive environment.
- Orientation and sign-up will be on Wednesday, May 14th at 3525 Norwood Avenue.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Lottery for 2025-26 School Year
You can apply for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for the 2025-26 school year. TK gives children an extra year before kindergarten to develop important skills for school.
Who can apply?
Children who will turn 4 years old by September 1, 2025 can enroll in TK.
How to apply?
The application process will be a lottery. The lottery will give priority to students who live in our school area. There are no other priorities.

We are offering a fun and exciting summer program with learning, activities, and extra help for students!

Drop-Off:
We start serving breakfast at 7:15 AM. Please remember that there is no supervision for your child before this time. Drop off your child in the big parking lot. Make sure to pull forward and to the right of the curb. Please stay in your car and do not leave your vehicle.Pick-Up for Grades 2nd through 5th:
Pick up your child in the big parking lot. Again, please stay in your car and do not leave it unattended. An adult will be there to help your child get to your car safely.Pick-Up for Grades Kinder and 1st:
Pick up your child in the small parking lot. Please stay in your car and pull forward. Listen to the adults guiding you.

Breakfast begins daily at 7:15 am. No students may be on campus before this time. We stop serving breakfast at 7:40 am

Dear Dyer Kelly Families,
This week, we have Parent Café on Wednesday, May 21st and Friday, May 23rd at 8:00 AM in the cafeteria. Come enjoy coffee, conversation, and connect with other families.
It is also Spirit Week! Please help your student participate. It’s a fun way to show pride in our school and end the year in a positive way.
