Attendance
Resiliency is Learned. Regular attendance is crucial for your middle schooler's academic success! Every day in class provides essential learning opportunities, and missing school can significantly impact their understanding of material and ability to keep pace with their peers.

Attendance is Important
Attitude
Excellence is expected. Students should be engaged in their daily learning and should take the opportunity to excel in all classes. Students will be provided tutorials, and interventions daily to be successful throughout the school year.
Expectations in the classroom
Students are expected to engage in all classroom activities which may include but is not limited to turn and talk ( students will turn and talk with a classmate or group about their learning), Whiteboard activity (students utilize a whiteboard to answer their questions), Response Card (students write their responses in complete sentences on a response card and share out), Think-Pair-Share (students will have think time, pair up with a partner and then share out). Students are not allowed to OPT-OUT, it is an expectation that they participate in each activity throughout the instructional period.
Expectations in the Hallway
Students are expected to walk to the right and on a voice-level zero. Should any student not meet those set expectations they will receive a campus consequence of after-school detention. Students must be mindful of others in the learning environment as they travel throughout the building as prohibited behavior can disrupt the learning environment.
Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a school-wide program designed to create a positive learning environment where all students know what behaviors are expected of them, are actively taught how to demonstrate those behaviors, and are recognized for consistently making good choices, leading to a safer and more productive learning experience for everyone
PBIS Matrix
Students are able to earn Bear Bucks for their positive behavior each and every day. Students then use those bucks to purchase incentives from our Bear Cave. It is the student store that is open during lunches every other Friday. They may also purchase other incentives offered throughout the school which may include but not limited to access to home games, raffles, other events.
