NWEA Winter Testing Window

NWEA winter window will open on Monday, December 9, 2024, and close on Friday, January 17, 2025. The NWEA Assessments provide information on student growth and are used for placement into courses and programs. If you have any questions about the assessment, please contact your child's teacher.

Kaleidoscope Writing Contest Winner

We had several wonderful writing pieces submitted for the Kaleidoscope Writing Contest. Our staff voted on the best and Adriana (5th grade) won with her beautiful poem. She is now eligible to represent Ebeling at the state level. Congratulation to Adriana and everyone who submitted a writing piece.

With the reconstruction of elementary schools, Utica Community Schools is able to address long-standing concerns related to school attendance areas. Through reconstruction of buildings and consolidation of school attendance areas, we are able to give more students access to updated facilities designed to support learning with innovative instructional spaces. The goal is to better serve families so elementary students attend schools within their larger neighborhoods and can advance together with their peers to secondary schools. Currently, the district’s citizens Enrollment Distribution Advisory Committee (a standing citizens group with representatives of each school that annually reviews attendance areas) is reviewing patterns for elementary schools feeding into Henry Ford II High School. This includes Browning, Dresden, Ebeling, Graebner, Harvey and Havel Elementary Schools. The review also includes portions of attendance areas for DeKeyser and Oakbrook elementary schools that are located north of Clinton River and East of Van Dyke.
