August is HOT! Literally and figuratively!
Everyone needs to get their ticket for the Brand-new Electric Golf Cart ($20 each) stop by the chamber and buy one now! We are raffling off on August 15th at our Annual Chamber Golf Tournament at the Chisago Lakes Golf Course. I will be there handing out golf towels to every golfer. Registration is full for the golf tournament, but you can still put your team on a wait-list. We are always looking for volunteers, sponsors, players, donations and whatever you can do to help the chamber promote our businesses. A huge shout out to all our current committee members and volunteers!
What else is happening?
Karl Oskar House is open every Sunday, live music at the Uncommon Loon, the Community Meal is every Monday at Zion Lutheran, the 29th Annual Rhubarb frenzy at Winehaven on August 17th and 18th. Do not forget that every month we have our Luncheon around the community and it keeps getting more popular every month it seems. It is an absolute honor to serve on our Board and give back to the community that gives us so much. I always enjoy talking to all of you around our community about growing ideas for our community.

Based on the 1996 award-winning Sundance Film Festival hit movie, The Spitfire Grill tells a story of hope, forgiveness and the healing power of community. This character-driven musical is appropiate for all ages. I can't think of a better story to tell for Festival Theatre's theatrical homecoming.
