Dear Erickson Families,
Today, Thursday, June 8th, is the LAST DAY of school and the last Erickson Express until July. I wish all of the 5th grade students success in middle school and I look forward to seeing all returning students in the fall. Thank you for your support throughout this school year. I hope families have a fun and relaxing summer together! Report Cards will be emailed home today at 4:00 and Spring MAP Assessment results will go home with each student.
Erickson summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00-3:00, closed on Fridays.

Today we had an Awards Assembly. Students who participated in a club, had academic, character, or fine arts achievements were recognized. If your child was recognized with the Academic Achievement Award (5th Grade), Academic Excellence Award (5th Grade), SOARing Eagle Award, PE, Music, Art, or Library Student of the Year...your child will be bringing home a certificate and you received an email from me detailing the award. Congratulations to all students who were recognized today!
The kindergarten students participated in the KinderGARDEN service project and planted flowers near the Erickson sign and in the two front planters. Thank you kindergarten for beautifying the school!
Erickson is having a SUMMER READING CHALLENGE. Please see flyer below about the reading challenge from Mrs. Grover. Students also brought home a copy of this challenge. Students can also utilize IXL Reading and Math during the summer months. IXL is web-based but also has an app for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and Chrome. Both math and language arts subscriptions available for students completing grades 1st through 7th. See information below about this summer enrichment opportunity.
2023-2024 Staffing Update
Mrs. Crossley, Mrs. Koziol, Miss Ott and Mrs. Gnatyuk...will be taking the 2023-2024 school year off to spend time with their families. We will miss them greatly and wish them the best making memories with their little ones!
Mrs. Frattinger, Assistant Principal...will be joining Erickson FULL TIME next year. She currently spends half of her time at Erickson and half of her time at DuJardin. I am looking forward to having Mrs. Frattinger at Erickson everyday.
Miss Bley...will be moving from the 4th grade team to the 2nd grade team. The 2nd grade team is excited for their new team member!
Layne Barnett…will be returning for the 23-24 school year in 4th Grade.
Mrs. Anta, paraprofessional and EL Teacher...will join the DuJardin staff full time as an English Learner (EL) Teacher.
Kaleigh Smith, EL Teacher...will join the Erickson Family next year.
2023-2024 Important Dates
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16: Information Day 3:00-6:00 @ Erickson. Find out classroom teachers, bus routes, tour the building, sign up to support the PTO, etc.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 18: NEW FAMILIES (1st through 5th grade)are invited to Erickson to meet with the Student Ambassadors (5th grade student) from 3:00-4:00 to help smooth your transition to Erickson. You will also get to tour the school and find out more information about Erickson!
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 23: Preschool, Kindergarten,1st-5th grade Meet the Teacher/Drop off school supplies 2:30-3:30 at Erickson
THURSDAY, AUGUST 24:1st-5th grade 2022-2023 First Day of School, Kindergarten Assessment (if you are a family of a Kindergartener, please call the office to schedule an assessment time if you have not schedule a time.)
