Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are excited to introduce the Safe DE app – a 24/7 support system for students, families, and school employees.

The Safe DE app empowers every member of our school community to seek assistance whenever they need it, while remaining completely anonymous!

Whether it's a student battling bullying, a family in need of food or shelter, a school employee feeling overwhelmed, or anyone facing a personal challenge – Safe DE is here to support us.

The Safe DE app provides three ways for our school community to ask for and receive help:

· GET RESOURCES is a safe space for users to explore essential needs and wellness resources at their own pace. It provides a confidential way to connect with local resources, ensuring privacy and dignity for those seeking assistance.

· CRISIS TEXT LINE provides users with immediate mental health support. With a network of 27,000+ trained crisis counselors, users can text with a counselor (day or night), making sure no one feels isolated in their time of need. Counselors are available 24/7, 365 days of the year.

· ASK FOR HELP is an anonymous communication channel between users and designated school personnel. It allows users to request help directly from their school without the pressure of disclosing their identity. Users may also request help for a friend or family member.

We kindly urge all parents to download the app. Safe DE is not only a support system for your children, but also for YOU.

Getting Started with Safe DE:

1. Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

2. Select your school from the dropdown menu or enter the code provided by the school.

3. Accept the Terms & Conditions.

GRADES 3-11 & S.I.T.E.
Students are to take their Chromebooks home on the last student day. Below is a list of Chromebook fees if a student returns a broken Chromebook, reports a lost Chromebook, and/or missing power cord. This information is included in the student loan agreement.

To rising 7th and 8th-grade students: Our building is open from 7:30am - 3:30pm during the week for pick-up of materials. We look forward to seeing you throughout the summer months!

It's time to think about DIAA physicals for next year! Consider scheduling a DIAA physical before the start of school next year if your student is interested in trying out for and/or participating in ANY sports-related team or club here at Talley. Any students trying out or participating will need a current DIAA physical BEFORE tryouts begin.

We need your help. Talley's library is currently missing hundreds of books, which mean thousands of dollars' worth of reading materials for our students....

If books are not returned by the last day of school, report cards will not be mailed home. Instead, families will receive an obligation with the cost of the book(s).

If your child is not sure if they have overdue books, or which books they still have checked out, please encourage them to do the following:

1. Go to ClassLink

2. Choose Follett app (Library Catalog)

3. Select Talley Middle School

4. In the top right, click Login

5. Choose login with ClassLink

6. At the top, it says "Catalog." Click on "My Info."

7. It will show you which book(s) you owe to the library.
