Greetings from Pastor John
We are in an interesting part of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 6:25-34. We are going to hear Jesus say to us that we should not be anxious and that is a high call in our culture right now. A lot of us are anxious. And anxious about many things. But Christ has made promises that speaks into that anxiety so that we can live in Him. His call to not be anxious comes from the previous 19 or so verses. He has been telling us all along there are better ways of living and finding life. We don’t have to look for applause from others or their approval. We can find our life in everything that God offers, living, speaking, giving for Him and the treasure that does not rust or fade. Because of that, we will see on Sunday, we have reason to understand that we are completely cared for in Christ and we can speak that reality over our anxiety.
See you Sunday!

Family Discussion Starters:
Jesus knew he would be rejected. Luke 13
•Will everyone be saved? Why not?
•How are people saved?
•Why did Jesus cry over the city of Jerusalem?
Because the way of salvation is narrow, we keep Jesus central in all we do, helping others fix their gaze on Him and trust in Him alone for salvation.
• HEAD: How can you communicate the “narrowness” of salvation in a compelling and convincing way?
• HEART: In what areas can you confess to God concerning your lack of compassion for others or lack of obedience in sharing the gospel?
• HANDS: Who needs a reminder of the good news of the gospel this week that you can share with?
Voices from Church History
"As we worship, we celebrate our salvation through Christ
who will bring us to glory, we pray for that kingdom to come,
we quicken our hope by praises and anthems that direct our
thoughts to the next life, and through the ministry of the Word
we build our faith in this eternal hope.”
