Please check your email for a message sent from the school corporation on instructions for how to download and use your parent square app. This app puts all your students' information in the same place for every school and student, and works just like facebook. Teachers will be able to post pictures, videos, links, newsletters, and more in one easy to find location. Use of parent square will be in full swing at the return of school for semester 2.

Art
6th Grade
Students have completed a color theory project, where they explored radial symmetry by creating color wheels. They are now using 3D pens to design wearable sculptures as part of a fashion design project, learning how to combine art and functionality.
7th Grade
Seventh graders are using 3D pens to bring their ideas to life by creating three-dimensional sculptures. Each student is designing a sculpture based on an insect they researched, applying creativity and technical skills to their work.
8th Grade
Eighth graders have finished a relief printmaking project, where they used carving tools on linoleum blocks to create multiple prints. They are now working on crafting a functional ocarina using the double pinch pot technique, paying close attention to the design features that make the ocarina work effectively.
Business
All students are getting to try out our newly updated business lab. We received all new computers in the lab, a much needed improvement! 6th grade students are completing lessons over digital safety and being a responsible cyber citizen. 8th graders are wrapping up their studies over career exploration with some online digital lessons showcasing some of the latest career trends.
FACS
6th grade students are learning conflict resolution skills. 7th grade students are learning about whole vs processed foods and how to make healthier food choices. 8th grade students have wrapped up their career unit. We are now focusing on college prep and they are researching different colleges and scholarships.
Tech
We just finished a great holiday manufacturing project with our 2nd annual Holiday Craft Bazaar. The end of this nine weeks is about over. The 6th grade students are busy designing and building their dream houses. The 8th graders are finishing their camping chair project and Vex robotics. Soon we will be taking all the 8th graders down to see the CTE pathway classes to help them prepare for making a high school schedule that matches their career interests.
