7th Grade Fundraiser
7th Grade Families,
It's time to start fundraising for your child's 8th grade class trip. The first fundraiser will occur on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th. The Concord Booster Club is looking for a donation of lunch items to sell after the Memorial Day Parade. The items needed are listed below and were listed in the spreadsheet that was emailed to all of you. The Booster Club is also looking for students and parents to help prepare and sell these items from 9:00am-1:00pm. If you can help out, please open the spreadsheet and add your name to the items you can send in and/or to the volunteer section. Anything you can do is much appreciated.
This event will be set up at Memorial Park next to the post office. Items can be dropped off at Memorial Park at 9:00am.

Star Students
We'd like to congratulate our April Star Students. Students were honored for demonstrating Safety, Responsibility, and Respect.
If you don't see your Star Student here it's because the school doesn't have permission to post photos of them. If you'd like to change this, please contact Karen West in the front office.
It's Preschool/Kindergarten Roundup Time
Please find information about our Preschool/Kindergarten Roundups that will occur across the district in May. Any family residing within the Kingdom East School District can register to attend the Concord Preschool Roundup. Students who reside in East Concord and Concord can register to attend the Concord Kindergarten Roundup. If you reside in another KESD town and would like your child to attend kindergarten in Concord, you must request school choice using our School Choice Policy and Procedures. We've provided links to the policy and the application below. We are currently waitlisting any nonresident incoming kindergarten students because of our current numbers in our k-2 classes. We are anticipating the need for a k-1 and a 1-2 for next year, which is the configuration that we used during the 2023-2024 school year.
Concord's Roundup will occur on May 29th. We will not have preschool on this day so that the space is available for the Roundup.

School Meals & Beverages
Food & Drinks
Students may bring juice, tea, water or milk to school to have during a snack and/or lunch. Students may only consume water outside of snack and lunch times, unless they have a documented medical need. Students are encouraged to bring healthy snacks to consume during their scheduled snack break.
USDA School Beverage Guidelines define beverages as: unflavored low fat milk or flavored or unflavored nonfat milk or milk substitute or 100% fruit or vegetable juice, plain or carbonated water. Beverages will be kept within these parameters at all times. Soda and energy drinks will not be allowed throughout the school day.
The Kingdom East School District provides several opportunities for students to access healthy and nutritional food before, during, and after school. We have received federal grant funding for pre K-8th grade students to receive fresh fruit and veggie snacks during the week. Our students up to age 18 who stay after school receive a free after school expanded snack as well. Breakfasts and lunches are free this year for all students. The Abbey Food Service Group currently provides delicious, nutritious, and high quality meals to students and staff.
Adult breakfast and lunch prices are listed below. Please still fill out the Free and Reduced lunch application as it is used to determine eligibility to participate in a variety of child nutrition programs. Menus are sent home and are available online www.abbeygroup.net at the beginning of each month to help you plan in advance. Menus are subject to change.
