Dear Parents,

The teachers and I hope you found the Back To School Nights helpful and informative. Again, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher.

I mentioned that our upcoming 5K Walk A Thon needs dozens of parent volunteers. If you have not already done so, please go to the "SignUp" link on the bottom right hand side of our website, click on that link and you will then the many needed volunteer positions Find a job for which you would like to volunteer and sign up. If you go to that link now, you will be able to secure your desired position for the day of the 5K before someone else signs up ahead of you.

REMEMBER...take your spouse on a date night this coming Friday night....FOR FREE!! SAPTO is hosting a "Welcome Back Happy Hour" for all parents...catered hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, and music....5:30 - 7:00! All you have to do is to come and enjoy a fun evening with other St. Anne Parents!!

Parents of all students in grades three through eight were sent an email over the weekend about setting up their account in MyStudentsProgress. However, the system did not generate a security login and many parents were unable to set up their account. Returning parents can use the same password they had last year to login to the system (if they remember it). New parents and those who don't recall their password should email Miss Creedon and ask for their security pin. We are sorry for this confusion.

Don't forget Picture Day is coming next Wednesday, Sept. 21. There is no pre-ordering required. All information about ordering on-line will be coming home next week. Please remember that all students MUST BE IN FULL-DRESS UNIFORM for the day of pictures. Full-dress uniform means that students must wear their school shirts/blouses AND their uniform sweaters (K-7)St. Anne 8th grade sweatshirt (8th) as well as boys' pants, girls' jumpers/skirts.

Congratulations to all those grade 1 - 4 students who turned in RAH slips for their summer reading. Please encourage your child to continue reading and turning in their RAH slips for our monthly drawings for students in K - 4.

We officially kicked off our annual Fall 5K Walk-a-thon and have already raised $10,500 in one week! What a great start and let’s keep up this momentum!! This is the only mandatory fundraiser for all families with a minimum pledge of $150 per student. In case anyone needs the informational packet again, you may download it from St. Anne’s website.

T-shirt designs are due this Friday, Sep 16th. Don’t forget to submit a design at http://bit.ly/WATdesign for a chance to win and receive a homework pass.

Please keep in mind the key dates:

- Sep 23: Early birds who meet this year’s goals will receive a homework pass

- Sep 30: Register and enter 10 names into Pledgestar to receive a free dress pass

- Dec 2: Deadline for match gifts* to arrive.
*Submit match requests ASAP to ensure your employer has time to process and send payment to St. Anne. Match gifts that qualify for the “Going the Extra Mile” will receive a homework pass

We are still looking for volunteers! Especially for the event set-up, kitchen staff, clean-up, and crossing guards for grades 4-8. Volunteering is easy at SignUp.com (the link is at the bottom of St. Anne’s website).

Our first After School Treat will take place on Friday, Sept. 16. The treat will be Cotton Candy and sell for the whopping amount of $1.00. Hope you enjoy it.

The robotics program starts today after school. There was a great deal of interest in it this year and as a result the registration is filled for the fall semester. We cannot accept any more students. Possibly new students who are interested can be added for the spring semester.
