Maple Grove Fox Report

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We start off December busy with our Holiday Concert right around the corner. December 7 at 6:00 pm we will have grades K-2 and December 9 at 6:00 pm,grades 3-5. We realize that having concerts on two seperate nights may not be the most ideal as families may have to attend both, but due to parking concerns we felt it was best to split them. We are excited to bring the tradition of the Holiday Concert back to Maple Grove Charter School and can't wait to see everyone there!

Maple Grove Families, I will say it again...YOU ARE AMAZING! We raised just over $2,100 with this fundraiser! We are working to fund our School Forest Field trips this year. Our cookies, frosting and syrup will be here on Wednesday, Dec 1. Pick up will be from 3:00-5:00pm. If you are not able to make that time please see if you can find someone to pick them up for you as we don't have extra storage here to store them. We could use a couple more volunteers to help to distribute. If you are willing to volunteer please contact Trina at 918-557-0746.

DOORS WILL OPEN AT 5:15 pm. Please have all learners here by 5:45 pm. They will report to their classrooms when they arrive.

I know I posted to SeeSaw but I think it is worth posting again.

Thank you for your support at the Usborne Book Fair. From the sales classroom teachers were able to purchase $122 worth of books for their classroom libraries! They are very appreciative and thank all of you that purchased books to make this possible!

We had a wonderful turn out at our traditional Chili Supper on Nov.4. We served over 200 people! We were so thankful to see so many families and community members. We had a great night with our chili contestants, face painting, flashlight games, and Usborne Book Fair. Another shout out goes to Mr. Eric Vogel, Hamburg Town Chairman for winning his name on the Golden Ladle! Thank you again for your support!

For our Oct. reading incentive learners had fun creating selfie scarecrows from the leaves in our forest. We then had a special scarecrow snack to enjoy afterwards. We are shooting for 100% participation for the month of November!

On Nov. 12 we held our Community Crew. This is a whole school assembly we have quarterly that focuses on our CRISP (Craftsmanship, Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Perseverance) traits. The staff performed a woodland creatures skit (a great second use of our Halloween Costumes) where each creature showed the CRISP traits. We then followed up with rewarding learners from each grade with an award and honoring them with a narrative on how they were exceptionally using the CRISP traits throughout the quarter and being a leader at MGCS!
