Unity Day
Unity Day was a brilliant success at Topeka! PSW Michelle Mehrabian prepared activities for all Topeka students during recess. Students wrote positive anti-bullying messages on orange strips which were later linked together to make a chain which was displayed on campus. Many parent volunteers made the occasion merrier by encouraging students to write on the strips, commandeering the bubble machine and helping students with the other activities available to them.
50th Day of School
Topeka celebrated the 50th Day of School in style. A red carpet greeted students on all three gates and most of them wore tie dye! PSA Elly Aparicio organized the event and encouraged all students to participate. It was definitely a successful attendance promoting event.
Topeka Tiger Fund Assembly / Red Ribbon Spirit Week Kick Off
The Topeka Tiger made a surprise guest appearance at the Topeka Tiger Fund Assembly on Friday, October 25 to the delight of students and teachers. The whole school gathered as PTA announced the Tiger Fund raised over $80,000 for our school. Fall Festival
This year’s Fall Festival was a success! Topeka families came together to celebrate by setting up Trick or Treat booths and carnival games for the community. There were also crafts to keep students engaged and to share their Halloween spirit. Parents, children, grandparents, families and friends enjoyed one of Topeka’s largest and most adored events of the year.
CHATSWORTH PARK UPD
Elections are important
During the month of October, Chatsworth Park UPM students voted on the K-Kids Student Council for the current school year. This allows for our students to learn and understand the voting process.
The students running for office are given the opportunity to run their campaign by displaying their posters, handing out flyers/buttons, etc. At the monthly student assembly, each candidate is given the platform to express why they should be elected to Student Council.
All Chatsworth Park students (UTK-5th grade) vote on who they believe would be the best representative for our school.
We would like to congratulate all elected representatives and wish them a successful school year.
Color Walk
Chatsworth Park UPM PTA hosted its annual and biggest fundraising event of the year: Color Walk!
Our CPUPM PTA teamed up with Get Movin’© to promote a healthy lifestyle to our palominos and the community while encouraging a fun and competitive way of fundraising between the classrooms. All while making this a fun event for all.
Each classroom represented a different color of the rainbow that show an array of beautiful color during the final day of this event.
Spook-tacular Fall Festival
What a Spook-tacular evening our community had at our annual Chatsworth Park UPM Fall Festival!
There was much to do at this exciting event; from pumpkin decorating, face painting, arts & crafts, game booths and our new Spooky Cave. And so many costumes as far as the eye could see.
And to top off this fun event, all guests were treated to our Candy Booths hosted by our amazing Chatsworth Park UPM Palomino families. From Coraline to The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, Ghostbusters and so much more.

Parents, students and staff walked around the Beckford Field while they enjoyed music and snacks before school commenced for the day. Families who lived nearby were encouraged to walk to school. For those that lived a little farther away, they parked their cars a few blocks from school and walked to school the rest of the way. The day was also a spirit day where students could wear “workout wear”.
